Hey guys I’m in the Columbus Ohio area looking to get into the wash game . Just decided to join the forum after lurking for a few weeks . Other than a lot of companies in my area offering the same services I would offer next season I’m looking for a way to deliver a , better type of customer service experience for the customer.
Also have a question so just getting started into diving into more research but I was wondering if there are any good prebuilt trailers out there instead of building my own . I looked at pressure washing direct trailer setups I dont really see what I’m looking for all they have are 4 gpm machines . Don’t really want to ties up my whole budget on a trailer setup when I know I need a whole llc and marketing budget .
Any advice for the newest rookie here would be awesome but back to researching and looking forward to talking with you guys and gals .
I thought it was a hot unit until I zoomed in and saw it a neighbor’s BBQ grill.
Looks like an Udor pump on a gear drive though which is nice. Yeah, at $3,000, you can save some time and labor and get right into washing.
I agree, that’s a pretty clean build and trailer looks in decent shape. that’s $1100 right there. Heck I’d go $4k on that anytime if everything works. Plus if he’s willing to train for even a day or so, that’s worth some money right there.
Unfortunately he has sold it so peanut butter jelly grid is in order maybe some ramen noodles . But I think a skid would work better for my plans right now anyway .
I’d start small. Don’t need to drop 5k on a skid unless u want to. You can save an awful lot doing things yourself instead of paying a company for a professional level skid When your just getting startEd. Can get a cheap 12v setup for under $500 all in if u batch mix out of a 55 gallon drum. That and a used 4/4 will be more than enough to keep you going till u upgrade and your all in around $2k with hoses and accessories. This won’t be as efficient as some of us are, but until you are getting 2-3 jobs every day I would focus that money elsewhere
As for a better experience for your customers Highly recommend a crm. Saves u tome, makes u more money, and looks professional. I use markate because I think the invoices look the best but I know a lot of guys use customer factor. Tried them both but customer factor was hard to figure out and feels dated to me. Either way both can be had for under $50 a month and are a must have
Love the software but I really hate how everything you want to add costs 5-10 bucks. Wish I could just pay $50-60 and get everything. You will love the software though, I’ve tried every crm I’ve heard of and nothing beats it. Super easy to convert estimate to work order to invoice and the invoices look amazing
I didn’t read all the posts but I’ll tell you the one thing I see missing on your list of “things” is marketing. You have to have a way or several ways to generate business. Good luck.
