I’m in the market for a flatbed truck… this one comes in at the upper end of the budget but I just wanted to gauge others thoughts on whether it might be too much truck. I currently do 90% residential work so I’m leaning towards it being a bit overkill.
A 12’ f-350 flatbed is what I originally was searching for but this truck is very clean so it makes the decision a little more difficult… I do understand the cost to maintain becomes more of an issue with these.
big trucks big bucks. That is not necessary. 1/2 ton or 3/4 pick up is fine
@RnR it’d make a statement when you pull into a neighborhood full of 1,200 sq fr homes, that’s for sure!
And look at all the space to advertise on there!
I currently run an f150 and trailer set up but water becomes an issue with 2 8 gpm machines running… I’m not using a tandem trailer either but I’d rather not do a tandem and just go for a flatbed truck.
Just a little bit overkill.
Hey as a side gig you could always pull derailed train cars out of canyons.
It may seem like a cool idea but that thing will suck up way too much of your money
I also don’t like flatbeds set ups cause if your truck goes down you’re SOL. I love my trailer
Overkill.
There is no kill like overkill! That truck looks awesome but yeah maybe not the best washing truck for efficiency
If you’re going to go big but you do mostly residential, get a cab-over (Hino, Fuso, GMC). Wayyyyyy more maneuverable in driveways and little neighborhoods. Also, unless you’re transporting 4 or 5 people, the second row of seating is a waste of space.
Second row seating isn’t a waste of space! That’s extra storage!
So I decided to step down in size a little bit and bought a f450 16’ flatbed… old truck but the 7.3L diesel is what sold me on it.
Any pictures?
That was a good one
Pictures coming! Just bought today and I don’t have any good ones to be honest. I’ll take some tomorrow.
I thought you said you never spend more than 10k on trucks. I know that Chevy is cost more than that.
That’s a buddy’s truck we were making some steel cages and mounts on. You won’t see me driving a Chevy lol
