Insurance Providers

Hi guys, who are you using for insurance? Pros/cons you may have of your current provider? Renewals are around the corner. I would like to know if there are other options other than JDW specifically for our industry Thanks.

Scottsdale Insurance through my local agency who handles every insurance policy I have. Baldwin Insurance in Kearney, MO.

Scottsdale is out of Arizona and it’s underwritten by Nationwide.

Pros:
It’s $82/month for $2 million in aggregate and a bunch of little riders.

It’s not JDW.

Cons:
I dunno. Never had to use it.

Anything except JDW is probably the best for you

I use Erie

Thanks, I’m almost paying twice as much as you@ 129.33 per Month. Looks like I have some shopping to do.

Is that the name of your insurance provider?

Yes. I use a local broker but it is thru Erie

Same here… Erie… But they cost more than squids guy.

It’s height based. Taller equals higher discounts

Actually as soon as you say roofs… It goes way up, so the higher ya go, the higher it goes… Lol.

That was a crack at the stature of @squidskc

In the land of gigantism 5’10 makes you a little person.

I started out short, got up to 6ft 1 and am working back down now. Sucks getting old

Erie is great, but they only write in about 10 states. Wish they wrote in SC.

Sucks getting old

I hate to hear millenials and gen x claim they are getting old…haha
Us baby boomers have a few decades on ya! hah!

I can write on all caps if it helps you read it better. Half of my dads post are all caps. My brother told him it meant he was yelling. He said it helped him read what he was typing lol

Cypress insurance based in TX. $72/month for $2 million coverage. Didn’t require the first year full like JDW ($1,400 which I could never justify). Cypress required 2 months up front. They have been great. When I added landscaping it went down to $60/month for same coverage lol. I highly recommend. I also like dealing with local people. Would not waste your time with JDW because there are better deals out there.

Hi, I’ve noticed a few negative mentioned of Joseph Walters Insurance. Just curious what are the complaints or gripes about them? We’ve been with them for about year now. No claims, we were thrilled with their prices as our previous insurer(s) were way more $$ more less coverage.

Is that their actual name? I looked them up several cypress insurances came up like Cypress Texas Insurance and Cypress casualty Insurance.

Thanks guys for y’all input. I went with local agency here in Texas and was able to cut my insurance premium to half the price from JDW. So I was quoted at 725.00 @ 2 MilAg. Making it @ 60 and some change per month. They are FrankCrum Agency. Thanks guys
