Insurance help (sorry if beating a dead horse)

It’s through auto owners. I got a couple other quotes in the 600-800 range and a couple for like 8k :joy: What state are you in?

That’s who mine is through but is like $900 a year. I’m not complaining. I’ve seen guys on here who can’t find a policy for less than $5k. I’m in IL.

I’m getting quoted $2500/yr business and $2500/yr truck right now, granted I’m by 2 major cities… but damn. I’ve been CHOP’D. :frowning:

Edit: I might add though, that’s a 2MM policy and full coverage on new parts and all my labor for the truck build since it’s all attached permenantly.

What does the truck insurance cover?

According to the agent up to like 90k if lost/stolen/etc. The truck itself I’d say is worth 35k. He said it would cover all new equipment, and labor for the build as well at the fair rate. I don’t know how that would work in the real world though, maybe this guy’s full of it. I haven’t chosen yet.

Daaaang! My $2mm policy is $900 with no roof exclusion in NC (Erie Insurance)

wtf, it must be the area… that was without roof too. :frowning:
I’m going to keep shopping a bit. All of these companies you guys use don’t service over here either.

Really depends on how your policy is written and what you have covered. I’m in NC we with Erie insurance and I pay 10k a year. A lot depends on your employees driving records, how many trucks, workers comp etc. Nothing is apples to apples

It’s because we all have sunny dispositions!

I called that agency and they have partners in Texas but don’t offer coverage. Annoying.

My agent just told me that he doesn’t have any company that he works with that is willing to offer CCC. Annoying. Guess I’ll have to call up these bigger name brand wash insurance companies like Walters and Erie and get a quote

I’ll open up the can of worms…

I talked at length with my agent about CCC. He didn’t understand why I wanted it. He didn’t see the need and said it didn’t apply to what I’m doing. I ran through numerous scenarios with him about damaging siding, decks, concrete, etc. He said it was all covered without needing CCC. I was pretty insistent about getting it. So he quoted me it. Then after talking more with him, I had him take it off. My quote went down by a third.

My agent specifically told me if I damaged something I was directly working on then I wasn’t covered. Examples being discoloration of siding due to chemical application all the way to damaging wood on a deck I’m washing.

You need a better agent

Walters should be avoided like unsweet tea and wet ribs.

No clue about Walters but the other stuff is 100% accurate.

Any suggestions of people that actually know how to Fully cover every aspect of our work? Erie?

Erie is who I have. Best service and coverage. I fully recommend them.

what’s the scoop on them? That Hayden rep from there is the only one I’ve found so far that can get me a decent quote and knows anything. I tried a few locally and they are completely clueless when it comes to this industry. Should I keep looking? We don’t get Erie or the others I’ve seen recommended here.

I had called them about 15 years ago to get a quote. After about 6 phone calls over a month I gave up and went elsewhere. Walters was on here a few years ago and I made mention that they never called me back. That clown called me at midnight on a Sunday night and said he was returning my call. That is no way to run a business.
