I’m currently trying to finish up a swap, putting this Udor MC 18/20-GR Plunger Pump – Sprayer Depot on a 390.
Problem im having is that the pump is not sliding all the way into the shaft. I’ve read up a bit and I aligned the key/wiggled it a bit, but nothing. I feel like I’m missing or not thinking about something. Any help at all would be much appreciated it.

How large of a gap are you left with? I know for some motors the shaft is too long for the gearbox, and spacers are required. Maybe that’s what you’re dealing with here 
I put a gearbox on without spacers and it destroyed the gearbox. It looks funny because the gearbox doesn’t sit flush but you don’t want the shaft pushing through the back of the gearbox.
Its about 1/2" gap. I’m thinking this might be what’s going on.
so basically spacers should do it?
They’re are two shaft sizes. Which one did you get?
I would ask Sprayer Depot. See if their techs can help.

I’m pretty sure I got the 1" which if I’m not mistaken it should fit the 390 - if I got the wrong one then it makes sense that it won’t go in all the way. If that’s the case who knows what I’ll do 
Talked to sprayer depot this morning, said I ordered the right size and they don’t know what could be happening. I’m taking it to my local panda dealer, they’re a great vendor and have been very helpful in the past - they think it may be key related but we’ll see. If it’s a manufacturer defect sprayer depot said they would send me another one right away.

If it’s really only a quarter inch gap between the gearbox and motor, and there’s no slop/wobble between the gearbox and the shaft, then you just need some spacers.
Would washers work as spacers?
I personally don’t see why they wouldn’t. Not the most elegant install, but it should do the trick. Most hardware stores have various sized spacers, though.

Has anyone bought the TS1021 with gearbox from Southside? I just bought one and I’m wondering if I’ll need any spacers or if there’s anything I should know of before it gets here. I’ve got one free day for the next three weeks so I’d like to have all my ducks in a row if possible.
Update - the landa dealer guys were able to get it on - they said they had to lube the crap out of it and mess with the key a bit but they got it in there.
Did they use spacers?
Little ones - the initial gap I when I tried to put it on was about 1/2" - the were able to get it in almost all the way, the gap was more like 1/8" or less.
