Well, geez… don’t be running into bridge pillars!! But seriously if you come to a sudden stop at highway speeds, that tank coming loose will be the least of your worries :flushed:. The entire trailer flailing towards your head would be the concern. Then your body continuing at highway speed after the truck stops would be also. I’ve driven class a flat bed trucks on and off since 1999, and I’m pretty well versed in DOT load securement regulation . The only infraction I’ve ever had was a rubber hammer I kept in inside the fuel tank mount on a peterbilt 379, I got a $300 ticket for “unsecured load/cargo” for that one. :rage:

Sounds like DOT was just looking for something on that one. I’m only DOT 2 so I can drive the companies 450 box truck, but I got a "Strong suggestion " that I ditch my tire thumper… for the same reason. It was unsecured.

I keep mine the garage for a month and sometimes longer with no issues. I got myself in a similar situation as you once and never again. I usually order about 200 gal and when it gets down to 45 place another order. Those jugs are a pita not to mention more expensive and weaker. Never again but I feel you. I wouldn’t worry about how professional it looks. I doubt the customer is paying attention to those jugs lol.

They’re designed exactly for that. Transporting liquids and the cage allows them to be stacked if so desired.

I always thought it wasn’t made to be carried half full

I saw Chuck in a truck today in my neighborhood. It took him 4-5 hours to clean a medium-sized ranch walkout. He even had an electric pressure washer with him (plus a small gas one.) I’m not even sure he was using chemicals.

But that was me not too long ago (though I’ve always used chemicals). And probably at times it still looks like me. I haven’t found a good supplier yet for SH so I’m at the pool company buying their 1 gallons of 12.5%. Only place in my county so far that I’ve found.

I asked my local pw parts company if they carried it. I used the term “sodium hypochlorite” and the elderly lady (it’s family owned) just looked at me. “Bleach,” I said, “I’m looking for bleach.” She proceeded to tell me how horrible bleach was and how she’d never have me clean her house, and that their house wash was amazing. I was so in shock I wasn’t sure what to say. :man_shrugging: Do people actually clean houses without bleach? What are they using if not bleach? But all I really managed to say was, “What’s the active cleaning ingredient in your house wash?” And she didn’t know.

Their housewash isn’t better or cheaper than SH. At least if you’re trying to wash vinyl, brick or painted houses.

I asked about a year ago and it was some crazy amount for 5 gallons of their house wash. Maybe if it was undiluted in a high concentrate, it could be worth it.

That was before I really had an idea of what I was doing so I didn’t ask any further questions. Next time I’m in I plan to ask one of the guys doing repairs about it.

Call chemical companies in your area. Remember that set up you said you seen? Should have asked that guy. The people at your local PW store likely won’t give you any good advice like you already experienced. It’s not really a priority until you really get into business. 1 gallon jugs are just fine for now

Doh! Great point!

Easy buddy , your gonna have a stroke…

My supplier isn’t making deliveries to my area this time of year. So I just bought 12 cases at my local Runnings store

I wouldn’t be able to bring myself to do it… I would have to have a friend do it lol. Nice looking truck. Lets hooe it will hold up like a ford :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

It’s got a heck of a warranty. I plan on running the dog poo out of it when it snows. I pulled trees over with it today.

Grandma had some pine trees that she hated. Had to top them and control the fall direction with the truck and rope.

Did the same last week. 2 cedars and a big oak.

I didn’t know you had trees where you lived.

Only 5 left in the county lol
