How to Protect plants and grass from SH Soft Wash chemicals

Jake the snake, this isnt my company and i dont get on ladders usually. My coworker does and he’s been doing this for 16 years… it’ll be ok i promise :kissing_heart:

So take the good advice to help your coworker be safe. Care about the people you work with. Being on your own it’s good knowledge to have as well.

Tell him he’s been doing it wrong for 16 years, encourage him to be less wrong.

We out here doin it again cleaning million $ houses everyday. 2 trucks, 5 days a week

Tell me how wrong we are again?? Haha

That seems like too much runoff or overspray

I guess the desire to do things to the best of your ability is just something that can’t be taught. Kind of like actually caring about the customer’s property instead of just their money.

Every time you put that ladder against those shingles, you put a crease in them that’s going to cause premature breakdown. On houses with gutters, that same ladder is scraping paint and denting them.

I don’t care that it’s not your company, or that your boss can’t afford a set of $100 standoffs. It’s lame to treat your customers’ homes with disrespect.

So you’re an employee bragging about doing things poorly, on a forum? Lol you also have no right to brag about what houses you service and how many trucks your boss has on the road lol.

No runoff, we actually rinse our roofs…

Damage from any ladders is minimal, the time and hassle taking the ole bullhorns on/off just is inefficient and mostly un needed… thanks for your unwanted opinion though.

So basically, you’re a clown that we would all appreciate more if you left this forum. Majority of guys here are professionals and your flippant disregard for safety, honesty, integrity and customer’s property really doesn’t really sit well with us.

Yes, because unlike you, we care about protecting the property we are working on

:+1:. We get tips weekly for the great work we do…
also, as stated before we run 2 trucks year round with zero marketing, zero website, and zero social media presence.

Hell, we don’t even have business cards to give people!!

So before the snowflakes ( trump supporters ) wanna comment… take a breath and move along. We’re gonna “crease” shingles every day and not use the bullhorns… period. DOT

The people that have to explain how cool they are, are rarely ever that cool.

And the trump comment obviously was a troll move. People like you don’t matter. Your crappy machine breaks down and since you don’t know how to read you cannot fix it and go out of business.

I could sell you my really nice equipment for under $1,000 and i could still watch you fail.

Your boss (the owner) runs 2 trucks, you work in one of them lol. Not sure why you decided to come around and brag about being crappy but I suggest taking it back to Facebook or where ever you came from.

After about a year and a half on this forum, it’s really interesting to see when some new people are obviously used to the FB pressure washing groups. They find PWRA and come in all hot because they’re used to that kind of interaction. Belittling, cursing, ruffling their feathers and measuring up. I’m really glad I came to this place before engaging in those groups; I’ve learned a lot from some of the quietest voices on here.

This cat obviously feels defensive, we’ve all been there at some point. He’ll either learn or he won’t, can’t make a horse drink water.

I put it in the lounge for awhile till he calms down so it doesn’t derail the thread anymore

Makes sense, probably a good idea. I do hate when threads with some amount of good advice get locked away from the newcomers that need it most though.

I know this thread didn’t start about ladder safety, but I’ve gone down with a ladder exactly once in my life. I got lucky, a 4" scar that could have been WAY worse. Wet grass, no standoffs, young kid doing what the boss said to do

I feel like the angle I am at for single story Roofs is pretty steep a lot of times with my standoffs. Luckily I have a helper to hold the ladder always but I think I’d be less likely to slip with the ladder at a proper angle… although I’d be wrecking the shingle edges

What style of standoffs are you using?
