How messed up am I?

Hinderliter or the really old gent?

Different stuff. I may have spelled it wrong. It may be “Extra” Clean. I get it from one of my chem suppliers but they’re based somewhere out of Tennessee so they’ll definitely ship.

Very, very true. I’ve seen that video and I made the cringe face through the entire thing. It’s just wrong.

I’ll grab a picture of the SDS in the morning. It’s cold outside and I’m in my onesie.

Larry Hinkley. He’s a nice guy, but doesn’t know how to set an unloader. I can’t say Hinderliter was a nice guy.

I have to somewhat concur…I know all the history people have, but I like Mike…still couldn’t actually get an unloader set watching that thing. Two sentences (maybe 3) from you guys and I had it down…super-simple process. You are likely never going to want it “cranked down”, and I remove the handle when I set them so no one can really mess with them…

I still believe he’s still washing a few of my old fleet accounts for free lol he didn’t take too kindly for another company washing in his back yard so we got in a race to the bottom. When he started venturing East of Fort Worth I played with his money the same way and gave him a taste of his own medicine.

Few people have done more to hurt this industry than a particular family have.

But what about all the “diplomas” from his PW “University” he’s helped new guys earn???

In case anyone was curious who his Daddy is

Tested the unloader set to the most clockwise position with the zero degree tip and this was the amount of bypass I got. Pressure feels noticeably less than before.

It ought to feel noticeably less because that’s a lot of water to be be bypassing. My machines didn’t bypass a drop.

I haven’t slept for 30 hours so you’ll have to forgive me if I’m wrong but after looking over your plumbing in your other thread it looks like they opened up the HP line to feed it BACK to inlet for a cheap “bypass loop” when you already had a bypass coming off your unloader that’s plumbed to the top of your buffer tank. This is bypassing constantly instead of only when you’re off the trigger. The line I’m talking about is a 1/4" clear braided pvc that they tapped into that brass tee on the inlet. Your nozzle would see a flow loss from that AND from the issue with your unloader dumping water instead of sending it down the hose.

@KDAL_Tex where did you buy this set up? You have been royally screwed over.

Action Cleaning Systems based in Tyler Texas.

I didn’t know they double plumbed the bypass line. When I got the trailer initially it was still putting out 4200psi at 8gpm. The psi I could verify, the gpm may have been less. Its only after the freeze did I notice the psi decrease.

But yeah it’s been a lot of headache for the amount of money I spent. I’ll just end up fixing everything myself at this point. One of the welds they put on the support bar under the rig just broke, now that’s flapping up and down.

Here’s some pics of the plumbing. Please let me know if you see anything else. I may just end up fixing it all myself but I need to take it in for them to fix the welds on the support beam they put in. I’ll make a list. I just fixed the 3-way valve they put in for the antifreeze. It was installed in such a way that when I turned the valve to flow antifreeze into the pump, it wasn’t going to the pump it was going to the water tank and the pump ended up not pulling water or antifreeze.

What in the world is going on with this rig? D’s got better eyesights on no sleep than I do on 8 hours lol

Is it too late to ask for a refund?

that white vinyl hose line isn’t even really a bypass in the pressure washing sense. it’s bypassing pressure with both trigger on and off. it would need to be on the unloader to adequately bypass.
