High pressure "bulkhead" QCs?

You just use a mounting block like you would if you have a remote unloader. A fair amount of people use. I know @Ikii has one. Show a pic @Ikii

You wouldn’t have to do all wrapped around like that

I use this as a backup if I do have problems with my reels……never have but just in case I can hook whip line to it then my hose. I don’t use the top port, just put hex bolt in there. Just one option some use as @Racer said.

Zoom in on the mixer. We do it all the time

:point_up_2: this
I think we paid $2-3k for it used, with the air over hydraulic footpedal. It’s a KarryKrimp 2 from Parker-Comoso.

Might consider buying bulk hose soon too, we haven’t taken that leap just yet.

Is it essentially an elbow with bolt holes? I’ve also considered something like that mounted face down on a hole so the QC points downward through the skid shelf overhang…but you’d mostly be trying to connect blind (or at least I would be, shorter folks maybe not so much.

If it is basically an elbow, do you notice any pressure/flow reduction? I’d rather not do something that causes that all the time

The worst part of rolling up our hoses is the connection point…I’m more likely to go to a straight 200 with a 50 whip in the truck for touchups or whatever. Also, the easiest way to rollup is to press the button and wach it go…IMO

Friction

The unloader block is a great idea. If you want to avoid the extra 90 i was thinking a U bolt with a bushing around it would work well

It has 3 holes in it. I mounted it flat on my trailer rail and put hex bolt on top and put QC on each end, water flows straight thru the unloader.

Rubber cushion conduit clamps maybe? Just clamp it around the crimped end?

I’ve found not having fittings on the connections make it sit nicely on the reel. Rolls up fairly tight

 how exactly does that function then? Just screw all the hoses together?

@Innocentbystander have you ever found those hose couplers in stainless? I absolutely hate those zinc coated or galvanized ones.

I really think most every vendor carry stainless I don’t typically buy them because they cost so much

I have a ton of SS quick connects and all that but I’m trying to find the double female hose couplers to join two sections of hose without a quick connect so it sits on the reel a bit better.

Wouldn’t that just be a 3/8" (or w/e) stainless coupler? I make sure every truck parts box has both a nipple and a threaded coupler in 3/8 and 1/4…and a 3/8 to 1/4 adapter IIRC, bc then you can MacGyver darned near anything together to finish a job if needed. If you hunt through them you can find one with high enough pressure rating, but like this:

They are similar to that but they have a hex shape so you can put a wrench on it. I’m almost certain @Innocentbystander uses them on his hoses.

YEp, the ones I got somewhere were hex ones too…usually those stiffen to hold higher pressure I think. Just don’t remember where I grabbed them. May have been the local PW supply store.
