Help! White siding got stained after I cleaned it

I do t use eleiminator dont spray it on aluminum unless dilution rate is spot on otherwise I use it in my house wash. I buy it in volume so my price is different. Not to sound like a ■■■ just do t wanna put that out there. If you go and tell them you want to try it they will probably give you sample gallon. I k ow the store close to you is a franchise. I think it’s the only one Ed doesn’t own I bet your price is higher. I think my “N” button is messed up

Ya hes high on everything there i wonder how he stays in business but we do have a ton of pressure washing guys around here and a TON of guys getting in the business so who knows.

My vendors sell it for 6 or 7 dollars for the gallon jugs. Ill grab one when i go to get more bleach. 1 ounce per gallon and batch mix on site right?

@Grizz I can’t even find vendors in my area. How does one do that? I’ve googled it quite a few different ways. I only end up with companies that actually do house/concrete cleaning. I’m in the greater St. Louis area.

Call up one of your competitors and introduced yourself. If you are polite and honest im sure they would tell you. Most of them probably get fake calls from competitors trying to get info. It gets old.

@AquaTeamPowerWash is near St. Louis. He hasn’t been on here very much lately but probably just busy. I’m sure he can point you in the right direction.

Most of us just order everything online. It’s the only way to get the things you want. You won’t find everything you need at one place.

@Grizz Good idea.

@marinegrunt Thanks! I hope he sees the notification and can help me out.

Does this work on fall out/road soot?

@Harold all I can tell you is last year I did a whole street that had paving dust on every house. The paver milled up the old street and put down new asphalt and when he was done all the house were black I used my normal house wash and hot water had no problems at all.

Like @marinegrunt said I order most of my chemical online. There is a company in dog-town that does cleaning but also is a Landa dealer and chemical supplier they have some misc items so you may have luck there. Their degreaser is awesome it works wonders for me.

Company is Called Commercial Mobile Cleaning

You rememberer ain’t broken friend, from what I gather, at least in the truck washing industry, Is the brown soap is a highly caustic soap at a high ph. Great for washing fleet trucks, but not so great for washing highly polished trucks. It will streak aluminum and leave a rusty look to it. And it’s all brown when its mixed and the color cannot be changed.
I think it’s the normal generic chemistry based soap that ppl will sell you the formula for ,last time I checked it was 15k if you can even find someone willing to give the formula up,Alot of companys have the same batch mix then tweak it a little then slap there sticker on it and sell it for $300 a drum, At least they do in Arkansas and neighboring states.

Sounds like it’s all pretty much the same stuff. There are a lot of different brands out there for it and they all have that dark brown color. They all say it’s a car wash detergent but can also be used for house washing. They also say not to get it on aluminum so goes along with what you’re saying.

So I went back today (four days later). The stain was still there. I hit it with oxalic acid and it went away! Thanks for the help, all!

I hit the fallout with a degreaser but even with water pressure, it didn’t come off. So I had to hit it with a rag. That cleaned up the section over the garage just fine. BUT the section around the front door I could get not get cleaned up at all. Should I try a different degreaser?

You have to use a brush or rag for fallout. It won’t come off by just spraying degreaser on it and rinsing. You said “water pressure”. You might’ve meant just your low pressure rinse but, if not, be careful with pressure on vinyl siding. It can cause more harm than good.

I’ve had a few jobs with white colored siding that had something similar to rust on them in certain areas. I’m not sure if it was from mineral content in the dust from the gravel road or what. I’d test spray some oxalic by the front door if I were you.

I hit the area by the front door with oxalic acid. Nothing. I already had some sodium percarbonate mixed so I hit it with that, too. Nothing. (And after each application, I hit it with a rag. Then I rinsed.)

I just zoomed in on the picture and it doesn’t even look that dirty. Are you sure it’s just not oxidized siding?

I know this is your parents house but for future knowledge you never really want to be rubbing on the siding with rags. Most siding is oxidized and, the second you touch the siding, you’ll leave marks. You’ll be stuck scrubbing the whole side of the house. A simple swipe of a finger can even leave a mark. It’s a lot of work removing oxidation from siding and isn’t much fun. Fall out on the top two rows is a little different. You’re only doing the top two rows and it’s far enough off the ground to where you can’t see the different from those two rows and the rest.

If the siding by the front door is in fact dirty what kind of degreaser did you try?
