Harbor freight fellas

You should get the $769 22hp v-twin and use the 25% off coupon @anon37135677

Considering one of these for a build later in the year, unfortunately it’s not in the budget right now. Those 22HP Honda’s don’t run cheap around here and they’re never on sale…

I think it’s so you can fit 4 burritos underneath it without them blowing off going down the highway

The 25% usually excludes all predator products. Motors, generators, pumps.

Here’s the real question…

My harbor freight generator EU3500 will run the furnace, lights, microwave and tv.

I have a large generator that’s 20 years old but is really hard to start (impossible for Blaire) that runs most of the house.

Option 1. I’m kicking around the idea of a generac whole house system that kicks on automatically. I’ve seen mixed reviews on them. Would cost me 6-7k for one installed.

Option 2. Buy a harbor freight 9,000 and install it in the garage with an enclosure and vent fan that blaire can walk out and push a start button. Would be less than $1,000 for everything needed.

Anyone have an auto standby generator? Y’all in hurricane territory likely do. We only loose power here 1-3 times a year and never for more than 48 hours. What are your thoughts?

Our cabin has two generators in a zombie box. 2300w Ryobi and 6500 watt homemade. We lose powers a lot at the house due to ice storms and hurricanes. 7kw generator rolls out of garage, clamps to grounding rod and plugs into manual transfer switch. Lot cheaper than auto standby. Huge cost of generac system is the box. That’s why the zombie box is nice. Put most anything in it.
