Getting rid of the ball valve!

Right on, I’ve seen this already guess its been awhile.

You remove the ball valve so it doesnt drag when reeling in the hose.
I wouldnt recommend using your gun to replace the SC one becuse of the angle that the SC gun is possitioned.

Think of soft tissue damage on the long run

I would have a male end on the ball valve to my gun… just saying

I run a ball valve and I cannot relate even 1 issue from the ones you stated!

You never drag your ball valve! You treat it well

My Heavy Duty ball valve opens and closes with little efffort.

Thank you :+1:t2:

I’ll leave the 20” SC as is for now and look at the Eagle Wash ones next time.

Sooo I just have to fit male 1/4 QC’s to my lances/wands, and my 14” SC’s and a female to the ST2315 - done!

Thanks for all the input everyone :ok_hand:t2:

I have a 200’ double wire hose myself and a ball valve like the one posted on the video clip…I don’t find it hard and was wondering why you do, considering on your profile picture you look buffed af and are doing hand stands…time for some vagisil! Lol

It’s a soft hose. It’s grips to concrete. I have to walk it three times, laid out for me to reel it in.

I used to have a harder, single braid hose that was super easy.

This hose is double braid and HEAVY. I’d say roughly 35kgs (80lb+ I think?)

I put my buffed profile pic up ha ha!

My eagle wash has a 1/4 male qc on it. So I built my gun like this. I can also use my m5ds or whatever nozzles directly into the gun.

I replaced my ball valve with an ST 2315 with a swivel

@DoubleH thanks for that link, not sure how I missed that one.

I was about to put a FEMALE QC on the gun like @sgb did though?

I know it works both ways, but is there a reason is this way (because @Innocentbystander did it this way too)

Oh I watched your video IBS - love that accent!

Lol I don’t think I have an accent. Female on the gun makes wand more stable

Long live the ball valve and the K7 unloader :grin: Two of the best pieces of equipment on my trailer.

You mean a female fitting, right? Ha ha.

@DoubleH what’s that fitting called? I haven’t seen one like that before…

That should be a 1/4" female to 3/8" female adapter, so i can use a 3/8 QC, specifically for my SC, but then my short wand switches back to 1/4" for my jrod

That makes sense! The prior post had me scratching my head!

You don’t need an adapter. 1/4 Female quick connect screwed into gun.1/4 male plug in all wands and surface cleaner

I figured so, not sure why i went that route when i did it, i works though

1/4" qc restrict the SC?

Not enough to notice

So I’ll go with the picture set up, only with a male QC at the base of the gun, not a female QC.

I’ll put a female QC on the end of the hose, with my Mosmatic swivel. This way, for me, it will not affect the SC set up and still swap with the gun.

Sorted :+1:t2:
