I have a 20 inch surface cleaner that works good with my cold water 4000psi pressure washer ( belt driven) 4gpm… but once i hook it up to my new 3500 hot water 5.6 gpm machine it chokes it… so where can i get new tips like 3 an 3 because i believe it has 2 an 2 theres no number to tell
What size engine? Plastic deck? What temp hot water?
Honda gx630 maximium outlet temp is 200f

If it’s a plastic deck they warp over 185 degrees and don’t wash well.
They don’t wash well anyway. We have 2 of them and even on the 5.5 gpm the back lifts without us putting a gallon of Elemonator on it.
Pressutek.com for nozzles
Ya the surface cleaner is the plastic deck but it works well witg the cold water unit
So what kind of surface cleaner do you recommend for a 5.6 gpm hot water
Steel deck rated for 200 degrees or higher. I’ve seen so many different surface cleaners that all look identical right down to the triggers. Like they all come from the same factory.
My personal opinion is brand doesn’t really matter, but you get what you pay.
My 20" GP cleaner works fine with my 8 GPM washer but I have a 2.5 lb weight on the deck centered on the rear of it. It also worked fine without a weight using my 4 GPM machine. I know there are better cleaners but if you put the correct MEG nozzles on it you can make it work for you. I will say I am upgrading in the near future and the GP will be my backup.
100%. It’s when you add heat to that surface cleaner it can’t handle it. My Landa guy told me that swivel becomes worthless after enough hot water goes through it.
And you can literally see the deck start to flare when 200 degree water is run through it for long enough.
What type of nozzle do you use mines works fine with the 4gpm but with the 5gpm it chokes
And thats exactly what happens it does ok until u turn the burner on
Jack, my Landa guy, saw mine and told me to come see him when the swivel locks up.
Maybe you can replace the swivel and be in business.
My 24" Ground Force Whisper Wash is a composite (plastic) deck and you can run it for hours with 8gpm hot water over 200 and it never has a problem…does a great job hot or cold water.
I did check about the rating and with some users before ordering…and it ain’t cheap, like squid says…you get what you pay for.
What size tips did you use for a 4 3500 Unit. With 20” hammerhead ?
Look up a pressure wash nozzle chart. Figure out how much pressure you want, then divide the corresponding orifice size by the number of nozzles in your surface cleaner.
For instance, if you want 2500 psi from a 2 nozzle surface cleaner, running at 4gpm, you would want 2.5 orifice nozzles.
Another way to look at it, would be to divide your flow by the number of nozzles. For instance, 4gpm going out two nozzles means you’re getting 2gpm from each nozzle. So look up the desired pressure on the chart to see what nozzle size you need at 2gpm.
I’m sure there are some that work fine. The GP is cheaply made. Different kinds of plastics and different swivels. Yours may be rated for it.
It is rated for it…checked around with folks that had them before ordering it.
That is what I forgot to put in the post.
Sorry, I ordered the 20" and the 4K at 4GPM machine together. I just went out and looked and the nozzle’s that came with it were unmarked.
