Is that an udor? And if so will that 390 push a 5gpm udor? From what I’ve seen on their sight it requires 17 hp.

What say ye my good man? How much for the nag and peasant!?

Quite a few guys have put a 5.5 gpm on a GX390. Although, you’ll only get about 2500 psi before adding in loss of psi for hose length, fittings, etc.

It absolutely would, you’ll get 5.5gpm with a 5hp attached to it, the psi you won’t. At 17hp you will be around 3500 psi.

It seems to be under control for now lol.

Thank you @marinegrunt and @MuscleMyHustle. I plan on upgrading my setup next year and was debating on building a 8gpm or using my existing set up and just buy an udor gear drive. Does the 2,500 psi fair pretty good for flat work?

I personally wouldn’t want to use it for flat work. If I didn’t do much of it and, only residential, it would probably work. It’s perfect if you mainly do house washes and maybe a driveway here or there. You might just have to pre treat a little more often on certain drives. You have to figure after 200’ of hose you’re already down to 2200 psi. If I were you I’d still build an 8 gpm.

You can get away with it I suppose, plenty do. I think you’ll always have that feeling at the back of your head that it can be a little cleaner though, wether it’s factual or psychological I don’t know. Great for house washing though. 8gpm paired with a gx690 is a great all round money making setup if l you don’t have the means or room for both.
