Garden Hose Ball Valve recommendation?

Hey Everyone,

I run a 4gpm unit and I would like a ball valve that I can add at the end of a garden hose, directly before it goes into the pressure washer. I’m looking for something that doesn’t reduce flow as at 4gpm I need to do what I can to keep correct water volume.

The purpose of this part would be to shut off the water supply temporarily at the machine.

Cheers,
Bryce

@bryce1733 so I have to ask first why would you want to shut the water.off before the pump. That sounds like a recipe for disaster. Is putting the shut off after the pump a option. That way you dont burn up your pump

I like this valves .3/4" FGHT x 3/4" MGHT Series 074 PVC Two-Way Ball Valve with Buna-N Seals | U.S. Plastic Corp.. Very well build. Don’t now about flow restriction .

What’s wrong with the homeowners spigot?

I have about 10 of these. Don’t let freeze though. They have a full flow, lot better than metal ones.

Mount that off a garden hose? Lol.

Ok I get you that bit why would you put one before your pump?

He probably popped a thermal relief valve and it just sits there pissing when it’s not running

Well a ball valve would not be the right way to fix it

I’m curious now that I took a wacky guess lol

Me too the only reason I can think of that you put the ball valve on that side is that you like to gamble

There is absolutely no reason at all, I’ve thought about it from the nozzle tip to the spigot on the house, only reason I can think of is to not have to walk back to the spigot or to fit a garden trigger gun on the end after a house wash to rinse down plants without changing tips lol. Gave myself a migraine here.

Think I read somewhere once people were putting valves on the 3/4 flexzilla so it would hold water and not collapse on the reel. Other than that I got nothing
