Oh no I buy mine with the spots on them so it looks like I do work. That way I can use someone else’s photos. Sorry I had too

The guy pops in every 10 months we might never know.
Negative Nancy
Haha, ide love to know myself, but believe me life will carry on as normal.
To quell all the curiosity,
I just purchased a pressure washing company with 3 teams. One of my guys likes having a shut off at the end of the hose just before the pump so he can quickly and easily swap nozzles without going back to the spigot. If its being done while the machine is running we get to have a talk very soon about why that can’t happen. If hes shutting it off and turning the water off, swapping from wand to surface cleaner and then starting it back up, I’m alright with that.
I have no interest in changing the processes as soon as I hop into the business. We will over time switch to mounted units that stay in the van instead of getting unloaded every time we clean. I’d imagine it also makes more sense to put a valve just after the unloader, or even at the end of the pressure hose right before the wand, but that will be a conversation I can have and a problem I can solve in the coming months, not necessarily right now. I don’t believe it will be a big issue as long as the machine gets cut off before water is cut.
Hope that makes sense, and sorry to anyone that lost money on their bets
Thanks for the answers and sources!
I win!!! @bryce1733 why dont you post some pictures of your equipment to start with. I’m still not sure why you need to turn machine off to switch nozzles. Maybe your gun is broken. I can understand to switch to the surface cleaner. Nut it you put a ball valve after unloader you could just use that and save alot of time.
Very unsportsmanlike @Firefighter4hire he’s clearly aware of his laziness and not confused. The mans too lazy to walk to the spigot .
No no I call fowl. He just bought the company and doesn’t know why his workers who are probably lazy need them. That’s confused not lazy
I don’t think your pump can wait to have that conversation. It’s blowing my mind that he wants to kill water to the machine while running to swap nozzles.
Bpowerwash, is that you?
Man you read my mind I was just thinking that
I wouldn’t be surprised lol
Well he did suck me in so definitely possible
Y’all fall for him everytime…
I meant to say to swap from wand to surface cleaner, not nozzles. Nozzles can be swapped on the end of the gun with the trigger off… I haven’t figured out why he swaps wand to SC so often but I’m going to train with the previous owner this Sunday and maybe found out whats going on then.
One of the three washers I received had this attached so I snapped a photo of it.
For future reference, what do you use to cut water when swapping from Wand to Surface cleaner? I’m thinking a ball valve after the unloader is the way to go as you mentioned, but options are always good.
A stainless steel ball valve get one from a pressure washer supplier NOT LOWES. It has to hold the pressure also get rid of that stupid recirculate line either plumb it back to your buffer or run it on the ground
Yes I’m aware you need a buffer to that look like a 4/4 so a 50 will do just fine
