Not using for roof mix but for hw mix.i have some sapit that works good on roofs.
Ok now I’m confused what is your normal hw mix?
@Innocentbystander Ok that’s fine I’m just trying to understand the difference of surfactant amounts between downstreaming and batch mixing with 12v. Only reason I asked you is because you commented on it. Ignore my questions others are helping. Thanks
How big of a batch are you making 100 gallons
If my math is right 20 onces will make a 100 gallon batch
Elemonator a good everyday soap but there are others. You can buy EBC locally and it works fine as a surfactant for HW. For roofs, there are several that will work. It kind of depends on what you’re washing. I carry 5 different ones. Elemonator I use about 75% of the time for hw.
Your individual mix, you’re going to have to play with until you get the amount of suds that you want. All of us are different in what we like suds wise.
50 gallons so will use 10 ounces. Which works out to 1 oz per 5 gallons of liquid sprayed. With a 10 to 1 ds mix and using 1oz per gallon that is half. That must be why @Racer uses 2oz per gallon on ds despite the instructions on the bottle say to use 1oz per gallon.
That’s what I would start with you can always add more cant take it out
My machine draws 18-1 so my mix going to be different than yours and I like a decent amount of suds. So typically with Elemonator I’m 1.5-2 oz per gal. If you’re pulling 10-1, start with 1 oz per gal and adjust from there. Since you do a lot of stucco, which is more of a pain to rinse, you may want a tad less. Water hardness and all that will affect to. You’re looking for exact numbers but they all vary based on your desires, job and situation.
There are no set in stone numbers, just starting points.
Ok used 10oz (per gallon)of greenwash and terra wash today and only put 3 gal of sh and 2 gal water in the mix tank. It worked amazing! Explains a lot, having the right amount surfactant is key. Thanks again everyone.
Oh and btw, yes ds is way faster than 12v application, when using the proper amount of surfactant!
You don’t say…
That’s about the amount I use of eliminator. Had been using too much on occaision and now im spot on, (housewash mix)
