Force feed DS

Well I figured out my problem. Before finding pwra I relied on the vendors and instructions on the product bottles. I use green and terra wash and was told by the rep to use 1oz per gallon in my mix tank, which I did, ALL SEASON LONG. Then I bought my 12v setup and started batch mixing and using the same 1oz per gallon. @Racer just confirmed my misunderstanding (and really the rep told me what she knew about, 12v mix not downstreaming) and I have been using 10x less surfactant than I’m supposed to. When ds pure sh that only has 1oz per gallon in it, and then mixing that with 9 more gallons of water i was basically spraying no surfactant at all! This would explain my better results with the 12v and why I been blowing thru so much sh and taking so long to clean stuff. Can’t wait to buy some Elemonator now that I realize that greenwash is crazy expensive. I thought wow this $30 bottle lasts forever! I don’t always feel like an idiot, but when I do, it’s here on these forums lol

Lol glad you got it figured out. I switched over to snotmenade and love it. Elemonator is good too.

@Seandz That explains a lot! Glad you figured it out. And now you know why we were kinda scratching our heads about all the SH you were using. lol

And you’re in good company as a number of us have been there and made similar mistakes. Hopefully this forum helps us avoid future mistakes (or at least lessens the number of mistakes we make)…as long as we’re willing to ask and learn.

@Seandz Oh, and I forgot to say that Pressure Tek, which sells Elemonator, doesn’t ship/sell to California residents. :frowning: But there are other alternatives and I would try a few and see what you like.

I was going to try fresh wash but a cool person on here offered to ship it to me so going to do that first!

I have been reading and the consensus is that the elmonator is the best around. Is that a fair statement?

A lot of guys on here use it.

But quite a few use other stuff as well. Hopefully they’ll chime in with what they use and why they like it. @Firefighter4hire uses SloMo. I can’t remember if he mixes something else in his house mix, too.

I use it and like it a lot. I’d start with what the directions state which I believe is 1 oz per 1 gallon of house wash. Some use more, some use less.

Yes its slo mo for me I switched from elemenator I’m not saying it’s a bad product because it’s not I just think slo mo is way better and you use so much less. @qons I do put brown stuff in my HW also

Ahhh, that’s right! I thought there might be an additional ingredient.

To clarify, when you say 1 ounce per gallon of house wash do you mean 1 ounce per gallon that comes out of the wand or 1 ounce per gallon of the actual mix that gets diluted 10 to 1?

^This.

So for my mix, I’m mixing 3 gallons SH to 2 gallons water for 5 gallons total. So then it’d have 5 oz of Elemonator. Then I downstream that mix.

That goes hand in hand what I have been doing wrong I thought. If you mixed that same 5 gallons total with 5 oz and used a 12v to apply it then you would have 1oz of surfactant per gallon on the wall. If you downstreamed that you would spray 1/10 of an ounce per gallon of liquid on the wall. How much would you put in if you were using your 12v roof pump?

10 or 12 ounces of elemanator to 50 gallons of ds mix is plenty

Hmm. Then I’m not sure what’s going on. Perhaps the Green Wash and Terra Wash require more?

Here are the directions included with Elemonator.

I don’t have a roof pump but it’s on my list for offseason acquisition. I need to spend some time researching it here and figuring out if I can piece one together or if I should just buy one from a vendor.

Where’d you get yours?

Or you could mix 1 once of slo mo per 5 gallons and use alot less product

How much would you use in a roof mix then? Applying with a 12v pump.

The frowned upon Powerwash.com the guy who sold it to me Cody provided excellent customer service and went above and beyond for me. I’ve read about the bmps and some of the involvement with that company after the purchase but don’t regret buying from them. I’ve had a lot worse experience with the Powerwashstore and espec, can’t buy direct from pressuretek so my options were limited. I was happy to find someone who knew what he was talking about and get me setup properly with an all in one package that was plug and play.

I only offer pressure washing and gutter clean outs. Not enough money in decks, fences, roofs etc for me to do them

So you only downstream then? I thought you used a 12v pump for certain things. Just wondering how much elemonator I should use in a batch mix? If I put 10 gallons of sh and 90 gallons of water for 100 gallons of mix how many oz of elemonator should I add?

I don’t think many of us use Elemonator for roof mix. They sell surfactants that are made for roof washing. One is Cling-On through Pressure Tek.

Sorry, not getting sucked into this again.
