Very cool. I made a set of scales for my 1911 years ago. Wish I had some pictures of it but I don’t. I started out with blanks and carved crosses into each one with nice hard lines and “3D” effect (probably not the best description) and they actually turned out really well. Then my wife dragged me to one of those “Affair of the Heart” shows at the fairgrounds and there was actually a company there that made custom 1911 scales so I got some really nice ones with the Lone Star on them. Pretty sweet and SUPER grippy.
