For Gun Lovers

It goes against everything i believe in but…

hate that 365 and favored the Glock 48.

Sig 239 is the ones i regret getting rid of though.

Sexy, I’m all about shorty bolt guns and 3000 fps out of a 16 inch barrel is right up my alley.

That’s 1,000yrds with my AR in 6.5 Creedmoor, average is 1.382” on the micrometer. Conditions that day were tough, 92degrees humidity was high wind was blowing about 12mph shooting down a highline fighting crosswinds. My buddy’s .50cal Barrett shoots about the same over a grand. Some days it’s loose some days it’s tight. Mine stays pretty consistent though, to be an AR.

I had to sell all my guns because of the divorce finances. But I used to run a shorty 16.5 inch blueprinted 700 in .308 , it loved the 178 amax, slower than I liked but bucked the wind like crazy.
Also had a savage long action in 300 win, in a McMillan stock, wayyyy to lightweight made my teeth hurt every time I touched one off but it was death on any target not made out of ar500.

When I get all this crap sorted out I want to build a valkyrie, on an AR platform, Krieger makes barrels for it now and I get all kinds of excited thinking about it.

Edit: I need to be asleep, its white oak not kreiger.

Yeahhhh was looking at that last night. Less than 7 pounds … I wanna see the ballistics tables before I get to excited
… but this could really fill a LOT of niches. Everything from groundhogs with fragmenting rounds, deer with bonded bullets, and 2 legged critters with tungsten or hardened cores.

Also the Glock 44. 22lr showed up at my local fine arms dealer today…

Only .22 I carry is a heritage rough rider cowboy special loaded with rat shot for them dirty rotten mouth water cocasin’s.
Got a couple browning’s challenger but that’s it. And a pair of Nickel High Standard double nine’s.

I carried the exact same thing for the exact same reason. I shot a moccasin five times from about 10 ft away and watched it swim away. I switched to bond arms after that.

:joy::joy::joy:. They don’t swim away down here, they come after you. Gets your heart pumping though. Gotta get in close and personal with them.. Haven’t had any problems with that revolver it’s a 6.5”. If they swim up in the brush I just wait on em. I have a creek running thru the property.

That’s exactly why I always carry the judge. Then I’m pretty confident that I can put a round into an elephant’s rear at 5yrds.

They are in the trees and the water along the river here. Using the heritage you need the stage hand that kept The Dukes six gun loaded all the time in the boat with you. That thing takes 17 minutes to unload and reload when the serpant is trying to come up the anchor rope.

My carry piece is a g19, so I want one as a cheap trainer. I shoot probably 2 or 3 thousand rounds of 9mm a year, so being able to practice drills in 22 would mean I can spend more on rifle ammo!!

Got 2 rough riders they are fun guns

I love my rough rider. It’s got both cylinders for 22lr and 22mag. Slick shooting gun.

Just finished a set of grips on my 10mm 1911 and wanted to show them off. It was a fun little weekend project, nice to take a break on a rainy weekend

Very nice! I’d like to do something similar. I just picked up my .22 1911 a month or two ago and after about 500 rounds, it’s been a blast.
Loving your grips though!
