Footwear Recommendations

@Grizz LOL they do match my legs…I laughed after I took the picture…I wear a size 13 and that’s what I bought…they fit tightly but not uncomfortable when I first put them on but they stretched out after a bit of walking and wearing them around…all on all I hope they last a long time because I really like them!

What brand is that? I won extended tubes for one of those at a deer classic. But I don’t own the blower that they fit lol! If it’s the same brand you can have em.

Dang those muck boots look nicer than the xtratuf and more solid.

Dry guy I believe . It has them on there, telescopic.

I put them on top of the fridge so I would remember to bring them back next year. Was hoping they would take it on trade for a better prize.

I had a really great pair of Nocona’s, Cape Buffalo hide. Wore the bottoms out of them. Waited until I found the right guy to re-sole them and found out my wife threw them away.
Bad day in the house-hold.

Oh no. My lady knows better than to mess with my boots! I grew up about 30 miles west of Nocona. When I was a young boy you could still go over and get measured and have boots made to your specs. Those Beans are Wild Boar and they really looked sharp when new. I wore them while riding my motorcycle and selling cars and they’re pretty shot now. There’s a guy on YouTube that I’d love to have restore them but he’s halfway across the country and would probably charge more than they’re worth

If you get them, i would go a size down from your normal shoe size.
Pretty much every boot i have tried/bought ive had to go a size down. I really wish more manufactures made half sizes past size 10

Thats werid i always go a size bigger in boots.

Do the soles hold up pretty well?

So far I’ve been running and gunning in this pair since October. I am hard on boots though. A pair of square toes will last 2 yrs if they are rocky one if they are Ariats. One of the properties I manage has multiple white rock flowerbeds that I walk over. We had to install railroad ties on a retaining wall at another property and I used them to kick the shovel around a little bit felt like a boot.

Most comfortable boots I’ve had yet for washing. Super light. I wear 11 and the xtratuf are a perfect fit for me.

It looks like the Xtra Tuff’s are pretty well liked. I’m going by BPS later today to try some on. I will also try out the Red Head but the reviews are up and down depending on where you look. It seems the biggest complaint is that the pull loop can tear off and the ankle area wears out quickly causing blisters. We’ll see.

As many people that are recommending xtratuffs on here we should send in link with photos of receipts and this thread and try to get some kickbacks or endorsements. :joy:

You live right across from me ,in muck boot country. Ya might be shunned. :joy:

You get them mucks and some wrangler flex fit shorts, you’ll be happy ,happy, happy. Who says ya can’t put lipstick on a pig. Haha, hehe
