Foam cannon idea

In all honesty, i had no clue what the foam cannon was til my wife pointed it out. Thought it was just a foam cannon. My appologies folks. Sincerely

I wish I was making this up, but I am not.

Was washing a house yesterday and my wife came. First time she actually saw a house wash. Since no owner was home, I just DS chem, went to next side, DS. Monkeyed around for a few minutes waiting for 1st side to get ready for rinse. Wife turns to me and says “when you going to start cleaning?”
Turned to her and asked what would she like to see? Her response - “aren’t you going to put cleaner on it and get a brush out?”…

Mind you, this was a filthy house - completely covered in mold and algae (the furry kind).

So, I foamed it up and got a brush out and pretended to scrub like no tomorrow. After a few minutes of that nonsense, I rinsed it off and did another application. After the second go at, it was sparkling like a diamond in goat’s rear.

She was mighty impressed.

Be careful scrubbing randomly for no reason…great way to disturb oxidation and leave it looking like doo doo.

Scrubbed windows, wood trim.

Oxidation on vinyl siding?

Oh, the metal fake shutters were oxidized to hell and back…Tan siding and hunter green shutters. Just rinsing had all kinds of green water coming down the side. Had to rinse for 10 minutes. This was a $79 house wash that I upgraded shutter painting on for $100 more.

Just FYI - it was my moms house.

Oxydation… before you ur next house, run your finger on the siding, if your finger tip is chaulky then it is oxydized.

Congrats on your foaming

Did you charge your mom to wash here house ? Or did I read that wrong?

No.She wants to pay me, but that ain’t gonna happen.

In fact, I then spent the next day doing land cleanup on over 2 acres of land, getting paint today to repaint shutters, stain to refinish front/back door steps, wash her car, fix several trim pieces in around her house, and on and one and on.

Haven’t spent a lot of time the last couple of years helping her out due to life and now have to play catch-up.

She lives out in the boonies. Going to be doing some hardcore marketing as I know no one will go out there - at least an hour drive outside of town for what will be $149-$199 jobs. Small country homes, single and double wides. These are not big fancy ranch homes.

My approach will be to say I am scheduling for Jan 15th, 16th and 17th. Try to load up with 6-8 a day and bang them out. My mom has a larger place out there and it is 2600 sq ft and took 1 hour 15 minutes with wife pestering, so on my own, should be able to know out in 1 hour or less. All the home are within a 3 mile radius for 5 minute drives between each. Maybe get lucky and get a few side by side ( Maybe offer “You and your neighbor deal” - both book and i’ll knock off 10%). Be the $99 guy for 3 days, but do it in high volume with each day producing $700-$1000… Who knows maybe more - gonna go out today and knock on a few doors and just talk to them and find out what they will pay.

Typically not my normal business model, but if the volume is their and I can make at least $700 a day, why not?

Nice work, what tip are you using, nice stream on it?

It is a foamer from lafferty

Hey guys I added 30 second cleaner in a foam cannon with no soap to get it to reach further but after reading this I realized I could just use the thing on the end of the hose and rinse it off?

I have heard of people mixing bleach and laundry soap to do siding. Is this completely unnecessary for vynal siding?

what is 30 second cleaner?

Bleach basically
