Does the Zep TNT work well on aluminum. I know its an akyline but i have heard from a zep rep that this chem can clean aluminum like acid.
Garbage. Go with a good soap company . Hydro chem,envirospec, omega chemical. Find a local guy that makes HF or PH acid. Haz shipping will drain you’re piggy bank

uh no! An alkaline degreaser does not act the same as an acid. that rep must be new. Nothing brightens aluminum like HF

I’m going to be honest you have no business trying to wash 3 different fleets when you haven’t done a single job as you stated in your other thread. Especially using hf. It can literally kill you if you don’t handle it properly.

One fleet is dryvans only and the other two have tankers, and pnuematics. I have a few sources in my area for chem I can get good instruction on chems and how to apply them. I will never learn if I dont ask or do.
I have done fleet jobs when I was younger with acid with my uncle when I was 12. I am familiar with chemicals when it comes to mechanical since I was. Mechanic for 15 years. I have been learning as much as I can from all sources that i can. I will have to learn how to deal with these chemicals since my target market is fleets right now.
That, I can’t say…but in my experience anything HF is going to pack a punch, it just matters how much you dilute it.
And yes, HF is particularly nasty since it is absorbed through your skin and literally eats your bones. It’s a scary, extremely painful, and horrible way to die

I’ve watched my mad soap chemist mix up a batch of HF acid once. Two guys dressed to the hilt wearing chemical suits,gloves and full face resperators. One guy mixes the acid ,which is in raw form. The other dude is just there to monitor the first guy. It’s nasty stuff. By the time the customer gets it. Which is us,its diluted heavily. But don’t let that full ya. IF can etch glass,It deserves respect. I mix mine in a 2 gallon poly sprayer 20% acid,rest water to due rims n tanks. If you DS it to 2 step . Have alot of Vito O rings handy. It eats um over time…

Best all poly hand pump sprayers I’ve found to hold up to HF acid is Chapin sprayers. I get them at Menards. All others fail within a week. Bout $12 .

Have you ever seen the Chapin sprayers advertised for bleach and disinfectants? I believe they have the viton seals instead of the normal black seals that most have. The seal is the same color as the viton o-rings. I think I paid $16 for the gallon sprayer. I wonder if it would last you any longer? It sounds like the poly sprayers you use do a good job though.

Yes sir I did. Held up the same length of time as the cheaper chapin sprayer. I have found out that its the pump that goes bad. So I now buy the 1 gallon chapin sprayer for 6 bucks,because the pump fits the 2 gallon sprayer as well. I’m so cheap I squeak when I walk. Have alot of 1 gallon sprayers lying around if ya need any …

Chapin sprayers - I will definitely pick one up. My Zep rep said he can get me HF Acid. I am still looking at chem places around for custom mixes
If it were me ,I’d dump the zep rep and contact Jerry at Omega chemical. I think there not to far from you. Watch his old school videos online,pretty informative. He’s got really good soap and awesome acid. Safety brightner is pretty awesome. And the plus is. It’s safe on glass. I’ve used his products with great results.He will save you alot of time and money an BS, wallet suckers. He’s been in this racket since the 1970s I believe.
