Ok here we go. I had an apartment complex call me (first time this has happened) and ask for a bid. They want their breezeways clean and there are 20 of them. 2 levels each breezeway.
Here is the equipment I currently have. One cold water 4200psi 4gpm washer. And that’s it!
I want to price it so I can rent the equipment and still make something on it.
So here are my questions:
What would you price per breezeway?
What would you use to clean it?
This is huge for me and I’m a bit nervous. I’ve done a ton of research on pricing, detergents, hot water washers. I’ve seen racer talk about not taking a shower without soap. Haha
Any wisdom is appreciated. I WILL take and use advice given here and post after pictures. The complex already has me at the top of their list because I know the manager. Thanks!!!
Thanks! I’ve seen many posts on here talking about price so I don’t believe I overstepped anything. I’m working on getting both of those. It will take a little time. I plan to rent what is needed.
Got my bid in to the company and look like I am their number one choice price wise. She did tell me that I am about 2 grand cheaper than the other company that quoted them. Not sure if I like that or not. Haha
I priced it well I think. Now, what soap would be used on something like this as far as the concrete. I’ll know next week if I actually got the job but I’m pretty sure I did. This will help me on future bids as I’m starting to approach apartment complexes now.
Hey man if you see this I was hoping maybe you could help. I am in a similar situation where the place I live will probably accept my bid but I’m concerned about the water removal from the surface cleaner. Esp on the 2nd and 3rd floor. Ive really put so much thought into this and have everything mapped out but I can’t risk it going into people’s apartments. I tested my own door w one cup of water and it came through so I really want to be safer than safe anyway possible to not have water go in anyone’s house. This is a huge opportunity it’s 43k sq ft and I want to try and get a 2 yr contract after.
Should I buy 3 or 4 of some sort of barrier and have my helper squeegie behind me ? Still bugs me out about ppl below. If you see this I will be beyond grateful! Also any tips on writing bids lol?
Put down water barrier socks in front of the doors, we squeegee when needed but usually just push the water out with a fan tip. Don’t use oil barrier socks, they are made to let water flow thru them and only stop oil
Gotcha I have a 12 pack in my cart and thank you for taking the time to answer! I’m also using water transfer pumps but with the triangle catcher thing so I can get a 50 ft hose and keep the electrical part away from everything just use the included 6 ft hose for the other side of the pump to reach the grass . Have the outlets/positioning mapped, planned out and everything. Same w the PW building by building.
It’s just the gaps where the wall meets the floor. Def alot of grime up near there but can’t risk water getting underneath and going into ppls living rooms.
