F9 Barc thoughts

Ok, I searched old threads and read through many of them but they were mostly older threads so I thought I’d throw the question out. Does anyone use F9 BARC? I had a customer call today that has some battery acid staining that I am going to go look at hopefully tomorrow. Trying to get my ducks in a row, I started doing a little research. Sounds like this stuff works pretty well but thought I’d see if anyone has any thoughts about it. Thanks in advance.

Works like magic. Post some pics of the stains. Need to surface clean the area first then treat with the f9

I saw something about neutralizing prior to the F9, you familiar with that?

Not specifically. I just pretreat the area with SH and surface clean as normal. If you are only doing a couple small areas, make sure you fan the f9 out and try to blend it in. It can lighten up the concrete

F9 is a beautiful thing. I usually prewet the areas I’m using it or oxalic, mist it occasionally during the dwell, and have very little issue with brightening the concrete.

I mop it on with an unger brush too. Don’t really pump spray it much anymore.

It says its not bleach stable but I assume rinsing after your SH pretreat and surface cleaning is sufficient enough, huh?

@squidskc do you rinse after applying? From what it looked like you let it just dry unless you have bad stains and then it showed brushing it in and then rinsing. Maybe a stupid question, just trying to make sure I’m understanding it correctly so I can get the best results.

My first call for battery acid cleaning, but every neighborhood in my area has tons of golf carts running around so this could be something that could turn into an regular service if I can get this down and advertise it.

You arnt mixing it with bleach. You are treating the areas after you have cleaned and rinsed the driveway. I’ve only had it lighten an area once, but it was a super hot day 100°+ and it dried super fast after rinsing

Good deal, thanks. And I know its not mixing with bleach, just heard it would react with bleach so just making sure sc’ing and rinsing would be sufficient before applying the F9. I appreciate the info

I only walk away if I’m doing an entire driveway with it. Some of the driveways here are rusty from top to bottom.

If I’m spot treating I rinse.

If small areas, I just use a regular spray bottle and mist it.

Someone doesnt read directions very well…:wink:I’m almost posative that the bottle says right on it not to use a brush. I use a paint roller instead. I dount theres really any difference. I just assumed the f9 would react with the plastic and nylon in the brush and melt it or something. I guess I just should have tried it.

Got a handful of these that get used for everything. The brushes get rinsed after every use. Works great.

Are those the budget water fed Unger brushes…cus I love those

But you’re absolutely right about me not reading direction. Haha I coulda saved myself about 2 hours with this new plasma cutter if I read more

Yeah. The best.

Good to know. I use those same brushes for window screens and anything that needs to be generally scrubbed. Its a Mr Long arm for awnings though. They make great brushes. A little pricey but the quality is unmatched.

I’ve said it once, I’ve said it 1000 times. I truly believe the 30 foot unger pole should be one of anyone’s first purchases.

These cheap Ungers, are throwaways. They wear down after a while. But I like the rubber bumper around it because I’m a caveman and bang it into things.

Were looking at a big boy wfp system becuse we landed a few hi class window jobs… I’m thinking about pulling the trigger but 2500 is half a 8gpm washer :sleepy:
