Estimate for First Home and Driveway combo

I wasn’t meaning while running the pump. I was meaning when he was done with the job shutting the motor off. Most small engines need to be taken down to idle for a few seconds before turning off or they backfire.

Never. Never had a backfire happen on anything but a gx390 and that was cheap fuel.

Ways to get fired. Touch the throttle. Lean a ladder against a gutter. Untucked shirt tail. @Racer the manual is talking about start up when engine is cool, not about running long term to lower rpm. But, if you paid for it, run it however it makes you happy.

Don’t read every single post.

You can skip all the nonsense I wrote.

Get an EZ Start valve. It’s like a reverse unloader, it’s only open at low pressure like during start up.

I think I heard some unloaded have them built in? Mine is seperate

tons of difference. I assume the guys breaking their pull ropes are starting with the pump under pressure. I never start up without the valve open

Are you including the roof? I am thinking not. I just ask because I generally charge more for flat work than a house wash. I would be at 220 for the drive and 200 for the house wash. Full disclosure most houses in Texas are brick with tiny bits of hardiplank and the brick doesn’t grow mildew usually. I don’t think Ive ever seen a dedicated roof or softwash guy in my city lol and we have smaller homes with driveways bigger than this. Interesting how the same line of work can have 2 completely different markets based on the region.

Im in Houston area and I get filthy brick all the time. It wont be the entire house but at least the brick on the north side needs pressure

Houston has a lot more humidity than up in north Texas. I am finding it better to push flatwork than a house wash. Just because there is very little growth on brick besides dirt dobbers.

I get some nasty green bricks
