Downstreaming vs (soft washing)

Ok first,I want to say I have been in business for 12 years.I downstream everything except roofs.I use 12 volt pump system. My question is what is all the rage over doing a normal house wash with a 12 volt pump, booster pump, air driven pump.I know some are going to say to strengthen the mix will all the fancy valves and that’s understandable but it’s seems to me that downstreaming is much faster.Plus what do you do about cleaning brick foundations and steeps where you need a little pressure.
I’m just asking a here so don’t get all bent out of shape if this is how you clean.I downstream and love it.Isnt this softwashing also?I use 0540,2540,Guy Blackmon shooter tip, innovative shooter tip and M5 downstream nozzles.

Well if you’ve been in business for 12 years and can downstream a brick or stucco home and it came clean for you using NO PRESSURE please send me a link to that downstream injector.

I think he means the weirdos using 12v and the like pumps to wash vinyl and painted houses.

Think everyone around here got off that bandwagon a while back!! Sold all there high dollar softwash systems and went back to downstream with washer. 12 volt for pre-treating and roofs and stucco. No one guy by me spent 25000 on a system he said biggest waste of money ever lol

Yes I did I’m simply reading where he said he downstreams everything which would mean he doesn’t use a 12v pump on house washes. So if it’s a brick or stucco I think we all can agree downstreaminf doesn’t clean. Now I understand the question as to why some prefer it over just downstreaming. I’ve heard answer from it’s quicker less dwell time to people believe a pressure washer should only be used for pressure washing nothing else.

Downstreaming is soft washing. Every few years vendors come out with something “new” for the unsuspecting. They have to stay in business also. Whether it is reclaim, remotes, injector bypass, copying whatever chem pressuretek introduces, they always have something new and innovative. Softwash pumps have a purpose, but it isn’t for washing buildings.

We cannot all agree with that. It is asinine to say that downstreaming will not clean brick or stucco

Correct again

Off topic, but do you know why pressuretek doesn’t make truck wash soaps? Too much trouble? I figured since you know Bob maybe you would know.

Now I guess I can’t have an opinion because I don’t own or have ever used a 12v pump. I just downstream or xjet.

From what I’ve read here everybody states that you need stronger mix for stucco and brick than a downstream can put out. I’ve tried straight 12.5 sh downstreaming and I would have to reapply numerous times. Could be my machine. I’m still learning as I go. So don’t hang me yet.

I won’t pretend to put words in Bob’s mouth, but he is loyal to friends and sticks to his word. One of his peers and friends is known for his truck wash, so I think Bob stays out of that market out of respect. The other person has no problem selling a cherry and lemonade version of Bob’s products though. Just my speculation.
