Couldn’t help it. Got a few hundred rounds of green tip ammo and the irons sights dailed in. Never thought i could be so accurate at 100 yards with iron sights( 1.5 inch 3 shot group was the best i did with one bullet pricing the same hole.) I haven’t mounted the scope on it yet but on my next free day ill have it putting 3 shot groups under a MOA. Definitely the most accurate rifle i own. I honestly didn’t think id ever say this but im definitely a AR fan. I ended up selling the other AR to my buddy and we put them together in my shop. Harder than i thought it was going to be.

They’re definitely accurate. When qualifying in the Marine Corps the furthest distance we’d have to shoot from was 500 yards with iron sights. I was a rifle coach out at the range my last 6 months in and could be challenging keeping some on the target from that far out but you could usually get a majority of them dialed in. The target from that distance was a silhouette of a man from the waist up but the guys who were decent shots could usually keep the 10 rounds within a dinner plate. From that distance the target was the same size as the front sight tip.
I was actually looking at Palmetto Arms again this morning. I might as well just go ahead and order one because I know I’m going to. Every time I hear mention of gun control I get on there…lol

Dont bother ordering a stripped lower from them they are backordered. I ended uo canceling my order from then cabelas sells Anderson lowers and usaully has them in stock at the store. Only thung i wish i woukd have done differently was to get a chrome lined barrel. Im able to get military grade green tip ammo for really cheap and the 62 grains shoot perfect with my 1:7 twist 16 inch barrel.

I used to buy the military green tips from cheaper than dirt by the drum,loose, back 6 years or better. How much are they now out there?
Oh idk about the price on bulk like that. I get M855 for .30 a round in loose 150 count boxes. Wish i could try the new M855A1 but those not sold to civilians because of a minor tweak.
