Downstream injector issues

Hey everyone my name is hunnter. I’m In the process of starting out this season after this virus is over but having trouble with my downstream injector. I have a 5.5gpm 2500 psi GX390. With 100ft of pressure hose. I have tried 2 separate injectors. One being a 2.1 that came with the machine and the other being a “m mingle” 2.0 from amazon. Can’t seem to figure out what’s going on I would appreciate the help. Also before someone says I don’t have any read time I had to make a new account to post this lol. Here are some pics of my setup. Feel free to comment on anything I’ve done wrong.

What is the issue? You said trouble but didn’t describe it. Are they not pulling soap?

My fault. Yes they aren’t pulling soap.

You don’t want to open the flood gates. People on here are super generous with their time and knowledge. Therefore with an eleven minutes read time you may not get any response you were hoping for. I will say I have a filter on my filler hose going to the buffer tank. The black line that loops back into the unloader needs to be plumbed into the buffer tank or you’re going to burn up your pump if you stay off the trigger too long. You need to get a chem injector or x-jet. I use a high draw. You need at least 200’ of pressure hose. I have 150’ so I know. Freely given freely receive. That’s just the tip of the iceberg. Go read.

Yeah I probably had a ton of read time on my
Previous account. Some of that was spent researching this topic with no luck. But thank you for
The information I will look into Getting an x jet.

You could have a bum injector.

What tips have you tried pulling with?

You could well have too much back pressure for the injector to pull. You must use a low pressure nozzle to draw through the DSI. Another issue may be a burned draw hose (Funny, that happened to one of my brilliant team members just yesterday. Quit drawing, hose melted on the manifold. TIP: Carry spares of as many parts of your system as you possibly can ie. hoses, nozzles, guns, repair kit for DSI, quick connects, swivels, etc.).

Thanks for the information. I will look into that!

The tip you have installed in the photo is the rinse tip and won’t pull soap. You should be using the soap nozzles or the two with the larger orifices. Most also use the soap nozzles to rinse too because the actual “rinse” nozzles are too much pressure. You just have to go back to the trailer to pull the injector hose out of your house wash mix.

I actually tried every one of the different tips. No success.

Use a toothpick and poke into the hole. The ball could be stuck. Check the o ring in the injector too. The SH can corrode it and it tends to get sticky. Make sure you wd-40 here and there, keeps it all loose

The injector should have an arrow on it for direction of water flow. It’s possible it’s connected backwards.

I tried sticking a paper clip in there to do that but water was shooting out when I did that and didn’t change anything.

Can you take a couple close up pictures of the injector and how it is connected?

This is the way I tried earlier today. Previously had it right before the pressure hose by the pump.

Honestly hate the adjustable injectors. Most are bad. Get a fixed one.

check your clear hose for any air leaks down the whole length also the little mesh filter if you have one on the end of the tube make sure it hasn’t collapsed, You shouldn’t have any leaks and should be a snug fit on the injector nipple. Failing that it’s either a faulty injector (Yes you can have 2 in a row that are bad, there mass produced) or wrong sized tips. There’s nothing else that comes to mind considering you have 100 feet of hose, and assuming everything else works as it should.

I also have a fixed one that came with it and it’s not working either. Both brand new lol
