Don't ever use these in a bleach tank

Unless you want to take apart your whole system dump expensive chemical out and wet vac the rest out of your bleach tank. Total garbage. Will corrode in a matter of hours and disintegrate into your tank and leave you with a mess like you wouldn’t believe.

Similar situation with an xjet I had, the metal screen disintegrated.

I was told to use these when I started. They corrode or get junk on them and break. Have to fish them out from time to time, but they are fairly cheap. I know it is a different size, but I’m sure you can find something in that size made of a bleach stable material. Who knows maybe @dperez makes them.

Titanium would be best due to PTFE being more costly. Even still it would be much more expensive than the already available poly options. Maybe Corzan CPVC??

These last but they look so restrictive.

That’s what I use in all my tanks. Not restrictive at all. You can build them yourself… for that price I made 4 along with the vertical pipe piece to the top of the tank.

I use them, have for years……no issues, still using originals.

Weird, I’ve used them without this type of trouble for years to draw from 12.5%. I rinse them with fresh water after each day of use, and replace them after each season (by then, they’re showing some signs of age and rust).

That’s your issue right there. Preventative maintenance :joy::joy::joy:

I’ve had really good luck with this mesh screen in my X-Jet tank. Used about 10 months with 12.5 SH. I also rinse out everything the SH touches end of day. Showing a little rust on screen but it’s all stainless steel and works great.

just ordered a few of these and I hate to say it but if you leave these in a bleach tank it will rust out in a matter of days

Hmmmmm
Can’t explain that one. I just know I’ve used mine and only have some minor surface rust. I don’t ever leave it in solution when finished. Always flush everything in Xjet setup with 3-5 gallons of water and air dry when back at shop.
