I had tried to find one exactly like that and did, but the offerup flake flaked out. Bought a car carrier, but decided it would be too much work to shorten it. I do not like huge trailers.

You should have wit when you were ahead. That earlier post was hilarious. This one not so much lol

Lol. No comprende Amigo.

I couldn’t find what I wanted so I built it it’s way over engineered for what I’m doing with it but I dont believe in doing thing just good enough.

I like the size. Do you have to add onto the deck for the other tank and reel now?

No reel is mounted to box and 50 gallon tank fits behind big tank

Im digging that lil trailer, way to small for me with no sides, but it’s built like a panzer Tank, nice job.

@Jake_Lambert I’ll be happy to show you how my rig is set up, and I’ll help you any way I can (but only if you promise not to do your weekend work for (basically) free and end up being ANOTHER newbie that keeps driving prices down here before going out of business. I’m serious)

Also, I know you’re a plumber and you know a good bit about the water supply here, but I can promise you from personal experience, including 15 years in the Fire Service in Buncombe County) that there is no way you are going to get 5gpm CONSISTENTLY at every home in this area. You’d be wise to start with a 5.5, then set up an 8 as you grow. That way, you’ll be good to go no matter what the water flow is at each job.

PM me and I’ll give you my number.

Thank you Atlas! I had no idea you were in my area. And no, I’m definitely not one of those $95 guys. I’ve learned a lot; enough to know what my particular brand of obsessive detail is worth and how to market myself to certain clientele ;). I’m thinking the same thing, 5.5/3000 Udor with a 125gal buffer and a bunch of other fun toys. I don’t anticipate being anyone’s competition around here, I just want to pay off the $9k I’m about to spend and bring in $500/weekend. I LOVE my M-F job and don’t plan on leaving it any time soon, just doing this for some vacation money!

Where exactly are you Jake? I’m in Greenville next to GSP.

I’m smack in the middle of Asheville, not far at all! I was planning on swinging through Greenville in a couple of weeks, I’d love to buy you lunch one day if you have the time

I made the same offer to Atlas; any time you’ve got a weekend where you need an extra hand, I’d happily come down and trade my labor for the learning experience! I’ll PM you my contact info

I’ll be in Asheville all next week working off of Liecester Rd

Wow, all week?! Must be SOME job

We’re all someone’s competition, but I look at it this way: you’re either an esteemed colleague who I’ll work with and help out (expecting the same in return), or a hack who I’ll have nothing to do with. I hope you’re going to be the former.

Your current employer has a pretty good reputation, and you’ll have a foot in the door with people who understand the value of quality service and who aren’t simply looking for whoever’s price is cheapest. If your employer doesn’t mind you marketing your side business to their customers, that could be a nice market for you…Just make sure you’re always up front and honest with them (your employer) before you do.

Starting out with a 5.5 and 125 buffer will do just fine for you. Please don’t hesitate to call before you buy anything (AFTER researching on here, of course) A lot of stuff is just unnecessary trinkets, well marketed, and you don’t need to waste your money on them.

You’re welcome to come to a job or two with me, but I never work weekends, so that may be difficult for you.

I’m looking forward to talking with you soon!
