Also I think we’ve lost the main goal of this thread which is wood cleaning 101. Sorry for the derailment.

You can go up to 1500 safely on treated pine. 1200 -1300 real safe.

@CleanLife Please be more specific. SH%, dwell times, pressure used, why you used SH twice, your location, how much you charged. Explain your step by step process.

There is a lot of weird designs and shadows or something going on there

1300 sq ft @ $845

Dwell was a bit longer then it took to treat the entire surface, then rinse windows, grass, vegetation. Retreated flats and stairwells. Rinsed the area surrounding the deck. Used a 4510 tip at about 6-8 inches from the surface to clean off decay. Rinsed entire job and any areas around it, applied oxalic acid to all wood and rinsed immediately after coating.

I always double treat large surface to make sure there an even coating. If you happen to leave splash marks in the soaping you’ll notice it in the finished product

@Innocentbystander some is the grain of the wood , ipe. Another factor was a large carpet mark which did not come out in the finished product

What % SH did you use and what kind of machine are you running?

My apologies @Racer I did read that request when the topic was created and then I didn’t realize I was posting in that same topic later. I’ve deleted my posts

Thanks @Racer, as usual you guys have been very helpful! Picked up a couple of new nozzles yesterday and am looking forward to not having to bother with adjusting the unloader anymore.

Thank you gentleman for all the info! I look forward to trying out your tricks. New to the biz. Want to get it right. Very thankful for you all sharing your knowledge. Will report back after I clean and stain a deck with lots of Black Walnut stains.

Wow that looks amazing great job! This is truly an educational piece and would love to download it for the training files. The oxalic acid made a huge difference I’m guessing? How long did that sit for? Rinse it off we’ll after correct?

Usually will do it’s thing within 5 min. Almost instant. Yes, rinse well

Cheap ain’t it ? @DisplacedTexan, I get 55 gallons of high concentrate for $95. Then DS it @ 50:1 , Lasts forever

Crazy cheap. I forget what he quoted me for a 50lb bag of it but it was low enough that I’ll probably buy one at the start of next season just to have it. I’m going to test it out on a deck tomorrow and compare to Ox. I’ve had great success with Ox but this de I doesn’t have any nail rust so I figured great time to check out the Citric.
