So ,I’m assuming this one is junk and needs to be replaced ? @dperez

Call me crazy, but I’m not all that worried about gpm when I’m 40 tipping a deck. I wan’t to make sure the pressure is correct. We have been using a pressure gauge and adjusting the unloader to get to where we want to be. However, I like the idea of using a larger nozzle and living the unloader alone.

I understand where you’re coming from

How to I get it back to 0 ?
I thought it was done,broke ,trash .

Ya man set the unloader, lock the nuts down ,and throw that nob in the trash

No workie. Took the filler cap completely off still @700 psi.
Its junk, These gauges are more finicky than a Galaxy tweaked and peaked CB radio wrapped in foam.

Also, messing w/ your unloader keeps your engine from running at peak RPM’s.

Correct. There’s variables though, like hose length, rpm’s, etc. so w/ delicate surfaces I always make sure to use my PSI gauge first. Good Luck.

Don’t some gauges have a little set screw inside where you can calibrate it?

That gauge did in that video that @dperez posted of the guy restoring the inflator gauge. I guess they probably don’t make em like that anymore.

Mine was $15 @ menards, so no set screw thingee. One fella on here had $300 gauges , I’m sure his are rebuildable. @marinegrunt

Just research (setting unloader). Its posted like 6 million times in the archives.

I thought even the cheap ones had it but I’m not sure. You have to split the case open though and it’s on the inside. Like you said the cheap ones might not have them.

Dunno, I’m just guessing. I’m not good with lil parts and due dads man. You outta see me inside a DS injector with the spring and ball. Not pretty, not at all. @marinegrunt

I don’t think my vickers gauges are rebuildable. Never had any issues with them but I only break those boys out when I’m setting hydraulic pressures on tractor hand pumps for autopilot. Usually if my Cheaper ones act up I trash them and charge back to the company for replacement.

So Your the high dollar gauge fella. Good advice, thank ya @Redwal9451
I used to run 50 ton excavators, D11 dozers etc, etc… I was Always fascinated with the mechanics and there high dollar gadgets and gizmos.

My opinion if I was to put one on the end of my hose it would be the cheap $20 ones. Eventually your going to drop it or hit it on something might as well get a couple and have a spare. I would keep a descent one at the pump to monitor every so often. But that’s me.

Taking your advice @Redwal9451, thanks man
