Custom pressure washing Van

E 250 Pressure Washing Van - YouTube

Alright guys,
Here is my 2001 E 250 I’ve been working on building for the past few months. I would like to say it’s done and nothing needs improving but that would be silly.
To elaborate on the video I have an 8 GPM 3000 PSI. Pressure pro bolted down with two 64 gallon saddle bag water tanks linked together being fed by dual Hudson float valves if need be. Tanks are built over the wheel wells on custom frames that my fabricator made specific for me as well as custom shelfs bolted to them. With the tanks full and driving around it is actually very stable and I barely notice the weight.
Exhaust is heat wrapped and runs through the floor to a secondary muffler that I hook up for night work. I am planning on installing an inverter to power a fan because it does get pretty warm in there.
I would love to hear all your feed back on this build and maybe you guys can help make it even better!

Looks good, very original. I just found one minor annoyance with my set up that you might find as well. My gas tank has a long line to the machine as well. And when you run out of fuel (like I did yesterday), and then you fuel back up, you have to turn that machine over again and again to get the air out and get to fresh fuel when trying to restart it. I wonder if that’s bad for the starter and battery and if there is any solution.

Looks like a great set up man!

I would think you might be able put a small in-line primer pump to help solve your fuel issues. Look into setting it up with a manual power switch so you can turn it on only when you need it PressurePoint

Just use a squeeze bulb. No power needed.

You are correct Jason. I completely forgot about the siphon ball.

My gas extension is 8’ long and runs to the back of the van over the wheel well behind the tank. When I run out of gas it only takes an extra few cranks to start up while the fuel pump draws fuel. I don’t think it would be any different if it was cold. My lines have check valves in them as well, I would hope yours do too!

Nice Van and setup. How many gallons do your water tanks hold and where did you get them … I am considering a Van build this fall.

Thanks,
Sean

64 gallons each and I got them from a local pool supply, they are actually water storage tanks that are supposed to be for rain water but unturned them horizontal for them to work for me. You might be able to contact a supplier through the website on the tank.

That link comes up as “parked for free by godaddy”. Which means it’s inactive.

Maybe they went out of business and why I got them for such a good price.

first that is one professional set nice job.

what do you have to protect the floor??

what about chem smell inside ??

Thanx for the compliment, It took a few sleepless nights get it where it is now but I’m super happy. I Rhino lined the floor myself and up the walls about 6". To deal with the chem and gas smell I have a roof vent at the back above the rear doors that is actually pretty amazing for sucking out any smells. Maybe my nostrils are shot but I don’t smell much anymore ever since I added that vent.

google Contain water systems and it’s the first link. Not sure about posting actual links on here. Are we aloud to do that? Either way, google that and you can see the actual use for these tanks. I put a plug in the top and used some wicked silicone caulking to seal the hole. Also another issue I ran into is bulk head fittings… It’s impossible to mount one anywhere on these tanks unless you destroy it so at my pool supply shop they have these really cool “one sided” bulkhead plugs I guess you would call them. They are called Uni-Seals. Super easy to use and holds 40PSI if need be. Drill a hole, put in the seal and shove the proper sized pipe through and BAM perfectly sealed water tight hole. I’ll post more pics if anybody wants a demo.
