A customer pointed this out to me this morning. Someone advertising in my area:
As far as I can tell, they don’t advertise any of the services I offer. But they seem to be the jack of all trades type.
What would you do?
I wouldn’t sweat it. Your logo and services set you apart.

This is the message I got from my customer this morning. His suggestion seems a bit extreme, but it has got me thinking that maybe I should at least reach out and see if they’re willing to change their name. Tbh, as a new business the similarity is likely to hurt them more than it could hurt me. And that’s probably the angle I would use when talking with them.
I don’t think you should sweat it too much. Most of my business is word or mouth and yard signs. Unless you are paying someone to scream infinity on the street, not many will get them confused.
Somebody local did the same thing to me. My newspaper ad lady found it and texted me. I went to his page and messaged him. He never messaged back and i couldn’t find his page on his or my wifes account. I texted the newpaper lady back and she says she still sees it.
His was Wash Away power washing and mine is Wash Away roof and exterior cleaning.
At least your customer is looking out for you and your company.

Yep. I would say I have a fiercely loyal customer base. Back when I did storefront window cleaning, I had a would-be competitor come through trying to solicit business. He wasn’t agressive in his tactics or anything, but from what I heard after the fact, my storefront customers just about ran him out of town

If you use a stylist its not to hard to upload a pic. You just have to click that tiny corner poking out of the bottom left of the dot. I usaully cant get it within 20 tries.
