Clothing Impervious to SH

Why wouldn’t I know these details and why wouldn’t I want to remember?

Lol it’s a strange world we live in, I thought I would ask.

Ironically if you scroll up to post #1 you’ll see it’s the recommendation by Mr Sparkle.

Ben hogan shorts and polos! Cheap and they hold up well

I’ve just been using the cheapest 100% poly shirts and pants. Doesn’t make sense to pay a premium, they’re all garbage quality. I’ll be lucky if a crotch seam lasts a month.

THE ONLY COLORS I HAVE FOUND, EVEN IN 100% POLYESTER that are in any way impervious to bleach are black and white. White gets dirty, never comes clean.

Just wanted to offer my experience with this shirt. I have been using this $9.00 BCG polo shirt in rotation from Academy for almost a year.
It gets 50/50 back spray on it all the time with no effect. The logo I put on there has worn out before the shirt. Although this one is about done I will be picking up a new stack of them soon.

Does air flow through it? Seems like most of these poly shirts are like wearing a plastic bag.

These are light and airy…I am in 100+ degree weather. I also wear a long sleeve sun shirt under it when I am spraying.

Just bought a few pairs of these for my tech and I. So far so good. $16 and change each at Wally World. Will also give them a trial on the golf course if work ever slows down

I spilled straight sh on the ben hogans when I was carrying around the x-jet bucket. Burned my leg and completely bleached my boxers but the shorts still look new

The gray Hogans and the khaki Hogans don’t fare so well color-wise as the black ones, but they certainly don’t do as bad as most.

My queensboro polos have taken direct roof mix at 4% with no color change. Same for my under armor polyester shorts.

For boots I’ve been using these waterproof Wolverines they’ve stood up to bleach so far and are a lot more comfortable than the xtra tuffs I have.

Which line of the queensboro tshirts?

We use them too, same shirts. Hold up well, no staining.

We use these. I work in the water industry (I wear my “work” pants to wash houses) around much worse than 12.5% SH and they hold up well and are cheap to boot. No bleaching action. Just don’t spill any fluorosilicic acid on them. Lol

My only complaint with the Xtra Tuff boots is the “finish” wore off them in like two days. I use Dr. Scholl’s inserts in all of my shoes because I walk goofy and have wide feet. I think I’m going to pick up a pair of the taller Xtra Tuff boots for those really soggy jobs. I washed in a downpour today and the short tops are swamped out.

Agree. Besides that they’re great boots though. I might just order the white next time. Hey Mike @qons, Tiy gave the gray, right? How’s the color holding up on them?

As far as pants I’ve been buying the 5.11 Tactical. It has a Teflon fabric protector too. I’ve had 6% hit them with no effect. 12.5% sometimes doesn’t even do anything. I do have a couple small stains from the 12.5% but you can’t really tell from a distance. You can see the liquid droplets just roll off of them. They will get wet but do dry really fast. I have them in both shorts and long pants. The best part is the have a concealed carry pocket and pockets for extra magazines. :grinning:

In one of these clothing threads somebody mentioned Mountain Warehouse pants for washing. I ordered a pair to try but the light khaki was more of olive drab. Plus, I’m now a 36 in the waist instead of a 34…lol. If anyone wants them they’re more than welcome to them. They’re size 34 in the waist and 32 length.
