Can someone help me find this hose connector?

Bought this power washer and this is leaking everywhere. I tried putting a new seal but I think i put it in the wrong spot. Or maybe the part is just bad. Any help would be appreciated.

The Pump is a RKV 4G36

Take all that crap off to the teff tape like you did already, take part to hardware store and rebuild it yourself. Easy peazy.
Or if ya want the same thing.

Looks like ght ( female garden hose thread) to 1/2" fpt (female pipe thread). Just measure inner diameter to make sure it is half inch.

Leave that mesh screen out when you put it all back together. Those things clog easy and starve your pump. If you’re concerned about water quality put a clear bowl filter with a mesh screen inline on your feed hose. That way you can see any debris it’s catching.

Yeah , what they said !!! Lol

You’ll actually want this one so it swivels. Would be a pain trying to connect the hose if it didn’t swivel.

If it were me I’d throw all that crap in the dumpster and go with pvc male fittin to adapt to a regular female hose fittin, cut my supply hose and put a female adapter on it, my 6gpm Hotsy is like that and draws just fine from a buffer tank, those swivel fittings are junk because I’ve had them.

I just assumed he’s drawing right from a garden hose/house spigot. If drawing from a buffer I’d go straight to a hose barb and use non collapsible hose.

Yeah I’m using a garden hose

That should do it. Appreciate the help! Also one more thing. My Honda gx390 is reviving high and low after I bought a new carb. I drilled out the carb with a micro drill bit. Should I go higher in size with another drill bit or does anyone else have any ideas?

You shouldn’t have to go drilling out the carb. I assume you purchased an aftermarket carb. I’ve used quite a few aftermarkets over the years on all sort of different engines and never had an issue with them. I would replace the fuel filter, air filter, spark plug, governor springs, check for cracks on the breather tube that runs from valve cover to air filter housing (spray carb cleaner while running and you’ll know if there’s a leak), and check gas cap vent. Try and run it without the gas cap to see if that does anything. If it does then your vent is clogged. Also, make sure the oil level isn’t too high.

That ought to get you started. Hopefully one of those takes care of it. You didn’t drill the carb out much, did you? If so, you might want to pickup a new carb.

Need some more info:

  1. what conditions caused you to change the carb?
  2. is it a Honda OEM or aftermarket carb?
  3. did you inspect or clean the jets before install?
  4. is the engine surging under load or no load?
  5. does it surge without pressure hose installed, just water shooting straight out of the pump?

I would remove the pump and run the engine to see if the condition persists. That will tell you if it’s engine or pump/unloader related.

It’s an aftermarket carb, I didn’t drill it much and it’s definitely a just an engine thing because when I hold the throttle it all sounds good and the pressure is up. I will test everything that was mentioned as soon as I get home. Thank you

Hold the throttle?

Yeah this piece

That’s the governor spring. Holding it will keep it from surging but doesn’t mean it’s the issue. Might as well make sure governor is adjusted correctly too. They usually don’t slip though.

Ahh throttle linkage and governor spring. @marinegrunt had good advice, if you haven’t completed regular maintenance of the engine then there could be multiple issues at play. FYI I still prefer to remove the pump or belts when diagnosing engine issues. I also prefer to rebuild the OEM carb over buying aftermarket but that’s just my preference

Ok I’ll clean up the old carb and give that a shot, I bought this pressure washer used so it’s probably be use to change the oil. Already got a new spark plugs and air filter.
