What city’s are you trying to target?

Sunny San Diego! Are you near me brother?

Yes they are.

Have you got your business started by chance?

@Chesebro do you have an email I can reach you at so I can ask a few more questions if you don’t mind. I’d greatly appreciate it. I was looking into starting my own pressure washing business but got discouraged once I read that you needed 4 years journey man experience. Any info to point me in the right direction would be a relief. Thanks in advance.

Just ask on here. Someone may be looking for the same info later on down the road. That’s what a forum is all about.

I came across this info on another forum. Anyone have any insight on it? I read that without the contractors license you can’t charge over 500 per job, is this accurate? Also how would you go about paying yourself, do you use a 1099 form? This is what someone else had wrote on another forum I was looking at…
°However, I discovered that if I were to continue as an LLC, I would have to pay over $2,000 per year for my bond. I switched to becoming an S Corp (only have to pay a few hundred a year for the bond). That was a MISERABLE experience, because you have to do all kinds of paperwork for the IRS and EDD. I’m still trying to get that all sorted out with the authorities.

So my question is with the llc license what am I capable of doing and charging. Will I be able to operate my business as any other? Thanks for any info

What! :joy::joy:. Is this legit?

Your out of the Los Angeles area? May I message you?

Just another in an extremely long list of reasons not to live in CA.

Do you have any info regarding the question or are you just being a troll? What I had actually read was that you couldn’t charge over 499. I’m trying to get info regarding this and your wasting my time.

It’s middle of night, will probably be later tomorrow before someone comes along that will know. Not that many from CA on here. You could try one of the FB pressure washing pages.

From the research I have done, you are kinda correct, you just worded it funny. If the jobs you typically do are 500 or more, a contractor’s license is required. I don’t know about you, but I dont get a whole lot of residential jobs that are over that. Also, if you look st the specific language of the license that would apply it states that the water needs to be propelled by air, and ain’t no air compressor on my trailer. I have seen people suggest in other places to “befriend” a fellow professional, which the suggestion itself is laughable. I’ve tried probably a dozen small time guys and nearly double that in bigger companies trying to get someone to show me anything, even basic maintenance and have been met with rude remarks. I’m out of California, we have a similar plight. I’m not sure if there is a private messenger on here but feel free to hit me up. I got some ideas

You can right click on each other’s name and message each other to your hearts content.

Thank you. But I’m not sure how to right click on a cell phone. And either way, balls in his court. Maybe he doesn’t want to talk a weird guy in his state inviting him to private chat at 1:45 am… lols

I appreciate your info. I couldn’t figure out how to right click on the phone either. However I will be in touch and if need be I will log on my computer and figure out how to message you. Thanks for reaching out

I will warn you, I’m not a seasoned professional, I dove in head first just as “big rona” started to become thing over here. But ive done enough research that if it were medicine id been studying I’d be a cardiologist…

@Drewsterkao for both of you on your phones click on the persons name and this will pop up. Then message them.

Back the truck up a bit there fella I was genuinely surprised that there would be a cap of $500 per job because of a piece of paper in the state that you live in. How about introducing yourself in the new members section instead of coming on here and expecting the world to stop to give you an answer. Your a bit pushy for someone that’s been on here all of 30 minutes. I’m just go put my children to sleep and do your homework for you, just bare with me for a second please.
