Burner orientation on Pressure Pro skid

Hopefully not but at this point there’s not much else left.

I ordered 4 about a year ago 2 were bad . Sent them back and got two good ones. It happens

I haven’t been doing it as long as other guys but that’s normal in my case. @Racer would be the one to talk to about k7. I would just zip tie bypass line to the tote so it doesn’t jump like that

There should be no pulsating. If there is something wrong

You don’t need high pressure line. You have either a bad unloader or it is not set correctly, or both. Don’t use it until you fix it. A bad unloader can detonate like a grenade if it can’t release pressure.

I just put a pressure gauge on the machine with the tip that came with it in the gun and it’s at 3900 psi. It’s a 3500 machine.

The lack of quality control even when you spend 6 or 8k blows my mind. That thing should be turn key tested and ready before it’s ever shipped

Exactly my sentiments. It’s frustrating. I had them add on the k7 at the warehouse. I would have expected them to install and test everything. I just watched a video on how to set the k7 and it seems that the set bolt has to be screwed all the way in, but the pressure never stops rising. Should I set it to 3500 psi and lock it? The video says to keep turning until the pressure stops rising, but it never stops.

Could it be possible that the ID of the banjo fittings are restricting flow of bypass?

Don’t try and set anything endless you have a tachometer. Otherwise your just guessing.

Ok, I didn’t realize that was also needed. The video just showed the pressure gauge(which I have).

I think they may have put the wrong gpm unloader on here. Would that cause these symptoms?

I would think the label on the unloader should say K7.3, but it simply states k7, which leads me to believe this is the k7.0 rated for 3gpm. I’ll be highly upset if this is the issue.

If you look at the bypass port on the unloader it should say 3 on it

Even if it says 2 on it that’s ok. Swapping the bypass port with a 7.2 was the original modification to stop pulsating

It does say 3. So back to the original theory. Bad unloader. Or set wrong. I’ll have to do some homework on how to set this correctly while using the tachometer.

I’m going to assume the factory set the rpm . Just back to unloader screw out until the psi comes down to 3500 then set it. A k7 will always have some flow at the bypass. Even under load they bypass a minimum of 5 percent

Still shouldn’t have anything to do with surging

Found this link that broke everything down. Might help someone who’s reading this at a later date. It explains everything very well. Unloaders – ENVIROSPEC

Yea, I did that and it’s still surging. In that article they were stating about finding the perfect nozzle because manufacturers always over state the specs that the chart might be inaccurate, and if you are using the wrong tips you could be losing gpm flow. The tips that came with this machine is 40085. I’ll assume this is the right tip to set the unloader to 3500 to.

It really is bothersome that they didn’t test this thing. Blows my mind

I thought a #9 was the correct size for that.
