A video will help.

Do u have a link? Guy that has been doing this a few years is scratching his head on this one.

We need you to post a video of the problem.

Or explain it better with words.

Gotcha

225 buffer with 2 in side discharge 2 ft out with strainer then change to 1 in Poly directly to inlet of pump approx 5 ft. Heavy vibration. Am getting 12 gpm from buffer. Can change to house pressure at only 8 gpm twice the reach no vibration from pressure hose when using. My unit is a 5.6 gpm unit any help greatly appreciated

Also, you’ll run out of posts quickly since you just joined. I think you get 5-10 unless @infinity becomes a genie :merman: and grants you a few more. So use your posts wisely. :+1:

I dont get this response. Looking for help

You really need to use complete sentences. Not really sure what you want. Oh, and you have an air leak.

Agreed, air leak possible causing cavitation with 2 in side discharge 2 ft out with strainer then change to 1 in Poly directly to inlet of pump approx 5 ft.

It’s really difficult to read posts without commas, or periods. It reads like cave-man talk.

That being said, @Innocentbystander probably nailed it

I thought I had the air leaks squeezed out, with that being said I will check again. Thanks for the help.

@qons how does one acquire more posting power

Time.

They don’t want newbies coming on here and spamming like crazy. Doesn’t happen often but it does happen. Post limits for new people help keep that in check. The limits lift pretty quickly. But whatever the first level is when you join has limited privileges.

Something about time spent reading I think. The longer you research the archives, the more ability you have to post. Not to mention that spending those hours digging will enlighten you with knowledge given freely by true professionals. This forum is like free PW college. Plus there’s a super secret room where all the good stuff is hidden, you just gotta put in the time

Oh I definitely agree. And I don’t see myself hitting a post limit anytime soon. But this forum has been a goldmine for me

Are you using the plastic barbs? They, in my experiebce, have to be threaded on really tight. For me I had air coming in from the barbs I attached to the filter. I dont like plastic barbs.

That might be why you were getting leaks. You can almost just hand tighten plastic fittings and they won’t leak. Use paste type sealant and not tape. I know it’s not advised but I’ll sometimes use a couple wraps of tape on larger fittings like 1.5" if I am having issues with a leak. It’s not very often though. I go pipe dope, tape, pipe dope.
