It’s about time to take the little boat out! She’s not much but she floats! I’ve been promising my daughter I would take it out this year. It’s sat in the back yard unused for 4 years. Going to tune it up and go fish!

I dig the little johnny Schertz. I have a boat problem (3), but my old 14’ aluminum flat bottom with 20hp tiller steer may be my favorite to take out. So easy to deal with, minimal cleanup, and she barely sips fuel! She’s an inshore fishing machine!

I’ll be buying back my old boat from it’s current owner this summer. I promised Blaire we would do new flooring in the house before I bought it. She ripped up the carpet upstairs today. So I guess I’m committed lol

I haven’t used a Texas rig in a while. They’re great in warm water. I like a jig and #11 Uncle Josh pork frog. Can’t get them anymore. Love fishing for them at night with a black light.

I like a Texas rig with a Jenko. Reel it back in jerky. Cast it right out of the reeds and wait for the hit.

What is a Jenko? I usually use a Culprit worm for my Texas rig.
