Lol yeah right. We all know truck warshin’ is where all the money is.

What size tips does that m5ds have? What size bar is it

We’re rocking about 60" of cleaning path right now and loving it.

Is that to allow enough room so the tennis balls on your walker don’t get dirty?

You missed me didn’t you. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Wow, after a few months I realized I never updated and wanted to touch back and I have to say, y’all are awesome. I love the info I get here.

I’ll address from top to bottom. My machine is a TSF2021 with a Predator motor (don’t hate, they’re easily swappable). @Racer i always keep my unloader set at around 2500 to 2700psi, even commercial, but I turned it up only for this experiment. Way up. It didn’t etch and it didn’t clean better either. Turned the pressure back to 2700 and left it alone. I run anywhere between 2-400 feet of line, and noticed a very slight difference in cleaning ability. My tips kept getting clogged because when my ball valve would be set down, a little piece of concrete would get in there, and as soon as I turned on my cleaner it would clog the tips so I put a high pressure filter before the swivel. I was running 25020 tips in the 4 bar. Didn’t seem to work well. I still don’t think it was working right. I plugged the innermost hole on one side and the outermost on the other (1/4in brass plugs from HD did great thanks to advice from Aqua Engineers here in Ga), put 25040 tips on and it worked great. Left the veins in. For tennis courts I run oversized 45025 and that works super well, hardly/no striping and cleans beautifully. I do think though, I had a major problem. My swivel. I just replaced it and this thing just sings. It works so friggin well. I have the old style swivel (black top) and there isn’t a rebuild for it, although I can buy new bearings. Had another black top swivel floating around so swapped it and that thing purrs.

Commercial work (apartments) we aren’t pre or post treating (apartments don’t want to pay for that and they know it’ll stripe) so that has a lot to do with it as well. Moral of the story, make sure your pressure is set (2700 is safe), water is clean (high pressure filter before swivel), swivel works well (no grinding or noise from spinning the bar), tips are proper for size machine, and bar is properly adjusted (@Racer this particular swivel I don’t have that adjustment capability). Chemical is the only way to clean exceptionally dirty concrete (pre and post treat depending on level of dirtiness change your %age), and if your surface cleaner isn’t working correctly, either manage your expectations for what it is able to do, or fix the problem mechanically. Happy washing everyone and thank you so much for all y’all’s help.

Very interesting.

So you now just use two nozzles that alternate on the bars? Never thought to try that.

I do. For really rough concrete I just use 25040 with two tips capped. Gives the same width of a pass but the same cleaning results. For a tennis court I run 45025. It’s been a great setup.
