I would’ve expected a higher flow machine (more than a 690 could produce) would be preferred in a job this large

I was thinking for their equipment that cleaner was almost too big 36" maxima at an assumed 8 gpm cant be too speedy unless hot water makes that much of a difference
Maybe they siamese 2 units? I was expecting to see diesel engines and not Hondas, especially with that 8 foot wide SC.

This is what they use a power plants to clean and wash down the fly ash so we can get in there and tig weld new tubes in or stick weld cracks and smaller holes.
I asked one day and the guy said he thinks they put out 50 gpm and 5000 psi. He was just a worker though so not sure. I do know they feed them with 2" hose from a water supply that supplies the boiler tubes with water. Those supply pipes are 12 feet so they definitely have plenty of gpm…lol That might just be to get to the 10th story though. I think they go down to 1" or 1.5" from there to their wand. The 2" line hooks into a 30 gallon pig and then go down in size to hook to the gun.

Most hydro blasting setups similar to that run about 40,000 psi, not exactly sure the gpm. They are a handful to say the least lol
They do a lot of it with gun in hand so probably have the pressure turned down and why he said 5K. They’ll sometimes hook it up to a tripod that’s attached to the doors on the side of the boilers or ductwork. The sprayer was then attached with chains. Not sure what pressure they operate then but we did witness a chain breaking and hit some guy in his face. Lost half his teeth, bit off an inch of his tongue, and broke his jaw and nose. He got hit hard. It might’ve been that 40k psi you’re talking about. He’s lucky he didn’t get knocked over the handrail and fall 10 stories. They travel from out of state so we never heard what his outcome was.

That is insane! I can’t imagine the money invested in all that equipment.
Turbochargers off of machinery, I’m all ears 
Imagine what that setup would cost you to get shipped to your front door from the States.
