What kind of Battery are you guys using for your GX690? Iā€™m buying a Group 34 AGM Duracell from Samā€™s for my Roof Pump setupā€¦would I be safe to purchase another one for this as well?

Pressure City has pressure pro for about $35-$3600.00

I use cheap lawn mower batteries. They usually last about a year and are about $45

If you have any type of mechanical knowledge, build a washer yourself.
I bought a Kohler 37hp, Legacy 10.4/3625 pump and a poly chain, unloader block, built a custom skid to bolt this to and it cost me about $4300ā€¦ This machine will run circles around any other commercial unit out there (Honda 690s, 630s with general pumps, Udors or AR)
Called some of these so called custom vendors up when I was looking to build it and was quoted no less than $8000! Guess some folks want to make a good profit for only doing about 8 hours worth of workā€¦ Yes, 8 hours to drill 4 engine mount holes and 4 pump mount holes. Everything else was easy.

Thatā€™s a sweet set up.

Thanks!
I cleaned this last week with a 28" Big Guy. Surface Clean, Rinse and Post Treat, 3.5 hours for 11,400 SF of concrete!

About 2 gph

Thatā€™s not as bad as I assumed it would be.
I just ordered 2 26hp kubotaā€™s they burn about 1gph @ max load. 9.4@3400 udor pumps. Should last awhile. Iā€™ve sworn off all gas brands to much down time once they start getting some hours on them. Hopefully you wonā€™t have the issues Iā€™ve been plaque with

I saw that. Hopefully it will get fixed soon.

How did you know what pulley sizes to go with? Where did you get the skid from? Is it steel?

What motors were giving you trouble? What caused the downtime?

Iā€™ll start by saying all small gas engines have there issues and most will get many years of good service out of them. Unfortunately none hold up long when putting 6 hours a day on them.

Hondaā€™s
Terribly under powered for 8gpm machines
Coils are crap keep extras on the truck
Governer are unreliable and can cause major to catastrophic damage when they fail.
Cam gears are plastic and prone to failure

Kohlers
Cost to much
Plagued with fuel issues because the carbs suck
Causing engine surge
Because of the higher compression they tend to burn valves often. Not expensive but still causes down time.
They are fuel pigs

Vanguard
Older ones or decent but temperamental
Newer big block ones are great especially there true efi engines. Best engines out there at the moment by far . Unfortunately they are so expensive almost $4000 for just a little more you can by tru industrial engines. Kubota/ onan/ Wisconsin/ Isuzu/ diahatsu/ Perkins/yanmar / cummins/ cat / the list goes on and on . All these engines are between $4000-$6000
This may sound expensive but these engines go 20000 hours unlike Hondaā€™s that are good for 2000 hours. Literally 10 times the engine life for twice the price

Yes, I purchased the Water Dragon with the GX690 and the Udor pump from the Powerwash store. I havenā€™t received it yet thoughā€¦probably be here by the beginning of next week. Not entirely sure I made the right decision but I was sold on the Udor pump. I called to ask what battery they recommended and the guy I spoke with, Alex I believe, acted like a jerk when I asked him how long it would be before my machine shipped to me. ā€œYouā€™ll get it whenever your salesperson told you when you bought itā€ was his response. I almost fell out of May chair and cancelled my order. I explained that i had purchased it online and I donā€™t recall seeing the lead time anywhere. He said ā€œso you didnā€™t get an email about shipping cost and lead time?ā€ I told him that I had gotten an email about shipping costs but didnā€™t recall seeing the lead time on it anywhere. After digging through my emails I did find where it said approximate ETA but man did that rub me the wrong way. I didnā€™t flip out on him but let him know I didnā€™t appreciate the tone that he took with me when I asked a simple question and that I was having second thoughts about doing business with a company that thinks itā€™s acceptable to speak with a customer that just spent over $4k the way he did. He backpedaled and apologized, explaining that people try to get them to say things that they can use against them all the timeā€¦ I told him that i can understand how frustrating that would be but that really pissed me off. Not to mention I thought the shipping was included but it actually cost an additional $332. Hoping I didnā€™t make a mistake here.

Looks to me like that house could use a good Roof Cleaning too! :smirk:

Iā€™m sure the machine will serve you well. Too bad about the poor experience. Email me if you need anything.:sunglasses:

Could you give me model # of Kubota please?
