That’s just a Lodar brand remote system. They are super expensive. He was covering up the lodar brand on the remote but I recognize it a mile away. I used lodars when I worked wind energy and steered towers and blades.
Here’s a picture of a tower we dropped and drug down an off ramp in Bloomington Illinois. The mast on the trailer that holds it up buckled.
Those trailers are self loading. We back the front half of the front trailer into the tube. Then the mast expands to brace itself into the top of the tower. Same with the back part of the trailer.
Essentially the tower section becomes the middle of the trailer.
So we just had another truck come and only bring the front half of the trailer. It was about a 3 hour process. The state police said we had 4 or they were calling crane trucks to load it and haul it off. We just laughed and said ok! Takes a 14 axle truck and trailer to move one.
That’s crazy that it came that quick!!! The UPS man pulled away from my shop at 4:30PM yesterday! I’m so glad I dropped USPS as my shipper. Now go let her make a mess with those packing peanuts!
Let’s see some schertz box pictures mounted on rigs! I need a few pictures for the website and for vendors to display! Clean pretty setups are a big plus!!! Winner of best picture gets a free remote! Winner is based on most “hearts” on their picture. And GO!
