I dunno, but I saw @squidskc driving along in a new Ferrari the other day ,wearing glitter pants, with a pw lance belt buckle ,the license plate said PWRA$$…
Yes! Looks good.
What was your process?
Wet the awning with soft wash tip, removes the mold that will come off and wets the awning for the chemicals. I used a pump up sprayer, 1 gallon water to 3 oz EBC (if you don’t have it you could probably use Woolite), 1/2 oz fresh wash (like delemonator), spray the awing and let it sit a few minutes. I used a plastic scraper from Home Depot to get the mold that is now pretty soft then used a soft brush to the whole awning. Go easy or at least try a few combinations of EBC, the more soap you use the more you have to rinse. The whole thing with set up and talking with the store manager (looking for more business) was a little over an hour, I charged $125. I recommended he clean it once a year, doesn’t take long if you are in this for the long haul to fill up your dance card with solid reoccurring commercial business and referral opportunities. My plan is when driving down the road be looking at these and stopping in for a 5 minute sales call. Sales is an easy business if you do it right which mostly includes not getting discouraged, hustle and not taking yourself too seriously.
Good luck.
Awesome, thank you for the insights!
Why did you add EBC?
I said why did you add EBC lol. I have it and get it locally at Sherwin Williams. That, and I don’t order from powerwash.com for a couple of reasons. I’m just unsure the benefit of adding EBC to clean awnings to be honest.
Nvm just seen that you only used EBC and no SH. Turned out nice!
Guess in my mind I thought nothing would probably go wrong with just using soap, could always use SH later. What do you do when the customer says yes: stop talking, what do you do when it’s clean: stop cleaning
Ebc is more degreaser than soap I believe.
Are you even able to put SH on that fabric?
Here is my before and after. It wasn’t that hard really, just takes some time. Brodie’s vid helped a lot.
Uh, did it not completely change colors? Because it looks like it completely changed colors to me.
It did! I was unnerved when the black was dripping onto the patio, but we verified the original color was tan and sure enough…voila. She was shocked and ecstatic, hadn’t seen it’s original form in years.
We have really bad mildew and algae here, as you can see.
Yes but always do a test spot. Watch @squidskc’s video on it. Very helpful. Like @Sasquatch said, I believe EBC is more of a degreaser. Here’s Brodie’s video
I did, underneath. Believe me I followed his video to the letter.
