I’ve never heard of Canadian bacon other than on pizza.
I hear ya. My Dad passed when I was 12 but he was 52. He drank everyday since he was a teen and his liver failed. I don’t really drink and know I need to start taking care of myself. I’ve experienced a lot in my time to make me want to be the best father I can possibly be.
My dad passed my 8th grade year going into hs. He smoked lucky strikes and drank more then a fish. He was sick for 4 years with lung cancer. Meaner then a snake. God bless his soul.
I’m sorry to hear that buddy. Trust me I know what it’s like. I’m so excited for kids but I worry about if I’ll be a good dad or not. Guess we’ll just have to find out the hard way!
Yeah he was sick for quite a while too and often talked about how he knew it was coming. Some of the most negative things teach you the best lessons in life.
No need to be sorry my man. You’ll be a good Dad. It’ll all come naturally I’m sure. It’s not something you can really imagine until it happens.
Preach!
Very, very true.
Let’s hope! For their sake lol
That being said, whoever tells you the first year is the hardest, is full of it. It’s game on once they start walking… This 2 1/2 year old is a challenge but worth every second. She’s sleeping next to me as I type lol.
I have like 10 nieces and nephews. When they start walking and talking it’s a whole new ball game. Why? How come? Why? Why? Why?
BTW, we have thoroughly derailed this one. Sorry @Sharpe.

@Hotshot posted this one, it’s very true. Spend as much time as you can with them when there younger, those years teach you so much about life and how “nothing” really matters but your family.
Why did you have to come in here and make me relive that horrible moment when Ellie died. That’s messed up dude.
You just burst my balloon…thanks a lot @MuscleMyHustle
Haha I think I meant it more like when kids grow up and do there own thing.
Yeah but still. Ellie died. And Carl was all alone in the world. It’s just not fair
Look, I feel ya buddy, life must go on, ole gramps will be A ok.
Good night fellas, nurse ratchet is turning out the lights.
Well we know that now because he made new lifelong friends in Russell, Dug and Kevin.
