I’m working on become a number nerd this season. If you dont mind what are some of you guys overall average ticket prices for 2019. Not really sure what to shoot for.
Also if you have any other suggestions on important number I should pay attention to feel free to contribute.
$870.79 was my average ticket price last year.
Profit margin is the important number in my opinion.
I’m interested in this. I need to average mine out and see how I did. I don’t think I’m as high as @SurfaceTherapy but I don’t think I’m too far behind. Granted, I do very few roofs but I’m really marketing that for this season.
So dang true.
Deck staining is my major money maker. Followed by hard water removal on brick, then fence staining as far as profit margins and higher ticket prices.
@Sharpe are you using a crm?
Ah well there ya go. I don’t do any staining whatsoever. I really took The Innocent One and Squid’s advice to heart when they said to offer limited services.
Me? I used Joist last season but I just downloaded Markate and I’m going to give it a run this year. Joist was simple, easy to understand and extremely cheap but had almost no modern amenities.
I think having a limited niche is the way to go also. I dropped all my night concrete cleaning last December. Will be only advertising fence & deck staining, and hard water removal this year. If somebody wants a house wash or driveway cleaned then sure, but won’t be advertising it.
@DisplacedTexan Have you tried customer factor?
Markate
What’s your hard water removal process? Are you referring to the iron and calcium staining folks get on brick and concrete?
I have not. Is that what you use?
Yes, it’s works well for us.
You’re right. Having a niche is great especially when you’re the only one around doing it. There’s only a couple guys in my area that do vent hood cleaning. There’s one guy that only does roofs. There’s another guy that only does commercial flatwork. They all seem to be doing pretty well.
What’s the cost like? Marketer’s cost is definitely attractive to me since I’m a small company.
I dont crunch #s but id say my avg ticket was likely in $225 range… very few jobs were under $180 only a few were over $350
Mind you i dont do a fraction of the work most here do. im a one man band, shut things down when hunting season gets here and dont start until in starts to warm up a tad, dont do many gutters and decks, try not to do concrete, and try my best to stay close to home.
F9 Efflo Remover and I typically boost it with some Prosoco Custom Masonry Cleaner. That will usually get it. If not and it is not a huge job like a church or something I will wet media blast it.
I tried customer factor. Way to confusing for me and double the cost of markate. Been using Markate for well over a year now. They have their issues but it is manageable.
