Anyone using the customer factor?

Just chatted with HA and HCP this morning.

HCP is moving toward being a true CRM and not just job tracking.

Also, HA told me they don’t have any record of me being added as your referral.

Eloquently put. They certainly DO need to be a true crm, and thanks for mentioning that. I would be more comfortable if I heard that from Lichtenberg.

Hey Rowdie, I just learned a new trick with that screenshot. I still have much to learn, exalted one😁

Josh “rarely hears anything else” Hahahah now that’s funny. I guess he never reads reviews…

So Gregg, based on your reply neither @squidskc nor I should expect that $100 in free leads from YOUR new account?

You already know my thoughts about HA and their poor ethics. Why would you ask me this. But hey if you got em smoke em… Nothing is free all they have do do is raise the bid a a little here and a little there and they will get it out of you on the back end.
But it works for you guys so more power to ya. But he said he saw your getting great results and hears nothing else… My comment was about that not the leads. Obviuosly your sales person has not bothered to check out his own company and just makes false blanket statements… Professional long term salesman don’t do that…

Hi @awesomewash2,
We signed up with Customer Factor this past season. Its been a wonderful tool for us. It’s one of those things we debated for a little bit but a few weeks into using it we wondered how we got along without it. It’s saved us a ton of office/paperwork time.

It integrates well with Quickbooks Online. Customers really like it too.

I know, Please pardon me, I was just having a little fun at your expense.

Thanks dude!

I haven’t been here but a few months, but it will be known over time that I AM impeccable with my word. THAT’S integrity.

No pardon needed people think differently that’s why we have forums…

I spoke with Steve today, and he’s really a down-to-earth kinda guy. He tells me that within several weeks contacts and leads will be automatically added to CF as prospects. Since he’s one of us (service person) he knows a lot about what we need to stay current with our prospects/customers.

It looks like I’m landing about half of my leads in the last month at HA at a cost of between 15 and 20% of gross. I mention that because CF will help me stay current with those leads I didn’t land so that they’ll hopefully look me up next time directly. That REALLY expands what I’m doing with those dead leads today.

Also, @squidskc,

yesterday when I landed a sale I sent over an estimate from HCP while I was standing there. The first thing he saw was a directive to download their app. I DON’T WANT my customers to be pushed to download their stinkin’ app. I’m tryin’ to sell 'em a job, while HCP’s trying to sell them their service. It’s potentially confusing and I don’t ever want another prospect/customer to have to deal with that crap again (can you tell that got under my skin yesterday?).

I am looking for a new crm but having trouble finding one that can handle the volume that we deal with. Does anyone have experience with CF and large volume? We do mostly residential window cleaning and typically have 15 routes/trucks out every day during our busy season with 5+jobs each and almost never have the same people in the same truck so everything gets switched around specifically for each day. The program we are using now handles the routes and scheduling but does nothing as far as follow up or marketing. It was also custom designed for us several years ago and is not capable of integration with most other software. Any other programs I should look into? Already looked at service monster among others but haven’t found anything that can do what ours can with the scheduling AND offer the other bells and whistles to help us grow and communicate with customers.

Call Steve. If you’d like to play around, use the test acct that they set up for me today, User grice7158 with Password grice7158. This is the first screenshot I saw when I logged in:

Looks like they’re serious about the RM of CRM. I hate to change, but would like todo so as qquickly as possible. Also, his programmer may be able to help you with the transition and data dump. They may still be small enough to give that level of customer service and pull that off.

I am using the customer factor right now, is there a place where I can see all of my previous jobs or prospects as dots on a map? I’d like to see my most active areas.

I had too many problems with TCF, entering data and then losing it, too many unnecessary steps to get from one step to another, and had I been able to adapt it might have been a good choice for me, but yesterday I suggested that I take a break from TCF until a promised feature (moving accounts from Contacts to database in TCF) and Steve suggested that I might just be better off staying with HCP.

The problems I had with TCF are too numerous to count, but my biggest complaint is the lack of tech support. Steve is so busy with running his show that I might get an answer 1 out of 5 times I called, and when I WOULD leave a message I was usually on a job by the time I got a callback.

I like Steve well enough, and maybe had I not already gotten used to the REALLY slick interface of HCP I could have figured it out, but for me leaving HCP for The Customer Factor is like trading in a BMW for a VW Beetle.

Yes, that’s the problems with all of the CRM programs. They each have things they’re good at and not so good at. I like TCF overall, but I think it’s bulky or antiquated in some areas and has some features that I would probably never use. You just have to try different ones and find one that works for what you need. Overall for the money though, think TCF is a pretty good value.

I personally feel that the phone app is quite under powered. The big proposal is one of the main reasons I bought it. I dislike how there are inconsistencies in the styling of estimates and invoices. They should all follow a standard template. The map feature that is promised will be a great addition and is another reason I bought into it. I am still waiting for them to launch that feature though. If I can’t see a direct value apart from house call pro, I will be migrating there eventually.
