Thanks everyone. Have a good one!
My pick is 3
I think they’re all bad. Neither the name nor the tagline “professional services” tell me that you do pressure washing or house washing.
This was my first thought but if I had to chose it would be 3. As long as the logo is near some other key words on a trailer or on back of a t shirt is would be do able. It is hard to figure out what you offer from the logo a lone.
I’m not saying this is the best but there’s no question of what I do and how to call.
Business name is there but smaller and my logo is the smallest.
Just thoughts
Have a good one
- Simple is best and it looks like very good. Blue is best for service companies.
If you want to go with something a little more generic, I could see that. Maybe exterior cleaning or something along those lines. Professional services sounds too white collar. Are you washing windows or giving tax advice?
Below is a high def rendering of my logo
Guess I’m in the minority, I like #1…providing it said Pressure Washing somewhere. “Professional Services”…could be a call girl for all I know:rofl:
Logos are unnecessary unless you are establishing a national brand. Mary Sue down the street doesn’t care what your logo is, she just wants her house washed. You offer professional services? The other guy says “pressure washing.” Which one will she call?
So…you don’t do driveways, pool decks, patios…etc. How about Chariot Pressure Washing"
Haha you got me.
I was in the same position you are now, sxz349. I eventually dropped window cleaning from the name and as a service, so my solution probably wouldn’t work here.
Perhaps you could take concept .3, replace “professional services” with “exterior cleaning,” then put “Window Cleaning - Pressure Washing” underneath it.
However, and I cannot stress this enough, DO NOT make your business name/logo the biggest thing on your vehicle/signage/advertising. NO ONE CARES what your business name/logo look like. You should not have to worry about making your name be super self-descriptive, because the only time someone should be focusing on it is when they see it on your invoices, which you don’t need to list your services on, or your business cards, which will have your services clearly listed anyway.
Take your hypothetical work truck, for example. It should say
(In BIG print)
“Window Cleaning”
“Pressure Washing”
“555-555-5555”
(now in much smaller print)
“Chariot Exterior Cleaning”
Once again, a business name/logo is not that important, unless your goal is to be a HUGE company. Tell your customers what you can do for them, they will find out who you are after that.
Look… you can call yourself Kim Jong Russia Pressure Washing & Window Scratching.
When you market you want to show people what you can do for them, how they can get in touch with you, and why they can trust you.
You market your service to desired customers. Your name and your logo MATTER but to your brands. Your brand is for people who see you around town and your marketing a lot.
Let’s say you have two vans and two door hangers and two yard signs.
One of each says DOG POOP SCOOPIN! 555-123-4567 and the other one of each says CAT TEETH BRUSHING 555-123-4567.
Your logo just ties those services together. And most people are just gonna tell their friends that a great company brushed their cat’s teeth and scooped their dogs poop. “Here’s the number. They’re called Chariot.”
Market the service. Tie your brand to that service.
Your SEO is going to say pressure washing service, window cleaning service. Your review snippets are going to say “Chariot did a great job pressure washing…” When they refer you some people are going to say Chocolate pressure washed our house and it looks great!
In your first three years at least NO ONE CARES WHAT YOUR NAME IS. They simply want to know what you can do for them.
My soapbox on this is worn out… this is my last one. Smooches.
YES!!! Yes yes yes!!
Now that’s a million-dollar idea. I know what my next start-up will be.
They all look good, but 3 looks best, modern.
I’d make the tag line Cleaning Services, and if all that is part of your logo then your list of services can be posted elsewhere, like on the van, fliers, cards, yard signs, etc.
What’s your official business name though? Like registered with the gov
Good choice on name.
You can register a DBA or fictitious name with your state without forming an LLC. But an LLC is a really good idea.
I like number 3. You don’t have to have “pressure washing” or “cleaning services” in your logo. But it helps. I too like horses lol
Really easy for the LLC. Nice protection and your going to get it anyways.
Plus for the bigger bids you have your EIN number for them. You’ll be glad you did
